Dancing through life....

Nicole: I went out on Wednsday with Ryan...
Jean: OoOooo...
Nicole: ... who would be absolutely perfect for _______.
Jean: Awww. I thought you were going to tell me that you made out with him.

I wish Jean... oh how I wish. :)

Lets see.. its random recap time!

Yesterday night, went to watch WICKED at the Pantages. Let me tell you that it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Really really amazing... and though I usually won't admit it, but it was seriously better than the book. Really. The girls in the show were vocally out of this world and if it had a longer run and if tickets weren't so gosh darn expensive, I'd go see it again in a heartbeat. The plot, the dialogue, the songs... just delightful. :) You would have thought you were in a rock concert or something by how the audience was cheering after every song. Hmmm... I think I might stick in the soundtrack while I blog.

Delicious... ear candy.

What else?

So I waited for my Harry Potter on last Friday night and finished it 2 days later. Damn those "just more chapter!" nights because sooner than later, the birds are chirping and I'm looking completely haggard but mentally satisfied at work. At least I have some fellow "readers" at work so I can have someone to vent to about it. Don't get me wrong, it was GREAT, but its hard to talk about it because there's always someone who screams "NOOO! Don't talk about it, I haven't finished" or "NOOO!! I'm waiting till the movie comes out!" But if you want to learn who dies... read the book. I'm not going to tell you and well... I'm just doing my part in promoting literacy.

bright as a light...

"Ha ha... Robert spelled cockroach wrong."
"How funny!!"
"COCK-ROACH... that's too hilarious."
"hmmm... how DO you spell it anyways?"
"I think there's another A in there somewhere."

10 minutes later after consulting dictionary.com

"So he DID spell it right."

Its my off day...

... and I'm doing my laundry. Unfortunantly when I was putting my stuff into the dryer, I noticed bits and bits of lint all over my wet clothes. Upon further inspection, I relized it was actually pieces of paper. Well... apparently one of my pocketbooks was in the hamper and well lo and behold, trashy romance novel EVERYWHERE!! Curses!!

Anyways, sorry for the lack of updates. Its not that I'm "too busy" to write because I have this "fab" life going on... because goodness knows it really isn't that exciting. I go to work, I come home and I'm just too darn tired to do anything. Sometimes on my off days, I get to go out... but most of the time I'm here attempting to clean my room and spending some quality time at Target.

Work, which has become my second home, has been great. Sure its stressful and tiring, but in a sick way, I enjoy it. The other day, I had a guest who insisted that he had a reservation... and of course there wasn't. To make matters worse, we're completely sold out, overbooked in fact, so there's no way in holy hell he's going to be able to get a room. The man, was FURIOUS and started cussing up a storm at me. Oh by the way, did I mention that this fellow had a hairline that was right above his eyebrows!?! Eerie. Anyways, so he screams and yells, I go to the back office to get a manager, and my darling coworker Phil follows and insists that we call security because he was scared for my life. In the end, by the time security shows up, the guy is gone and we're all wondering what the hell had happened.

Oh July 3, I went with to the Hollywood Bowl with the Torrance folks for the 4th of July spectacular. It was really nice night. I packed up my picnic basket with bellini, brownies, and lots of other goodies and enjoyed the night of (disney) music and fireworks with terriffic company. Here are some pictures...

It was a beautiful day and we had some great seats! Thanks Sakura!

Cheese!

Jean takes the BEST self portraits... ever!

I didn't see you smile!!

Oh yeah, I guess you can say I got the job. Or promotion. Or whatever you call it. :) I'm a very excited happy camperette at the moment.

Ask me how I feel in a month though. It might all change. :P

My arms hurt...

I had to walk about the length of a football field to and from my car and the office today hurling bags of goodies because my Tita Bridget came out to visit from Seattle bearing gifts (Chowder from PIKE! Hurray!) and of course, my mom had some stuff that she wanted me to give to her, so yeah. I'm supposedly strong like bull now. Or I feel like I was beated down by one... whatever it is, there's a bull analogy there somewhere.

Along with the chowder (Abolutely delicious I tell you. Absolfuckinglutely delicious) she gave me a little bracelet and said "I wasn't able to get one for Carlene... but its ok. She has a boyfriend."

Awww.. how sweet.

I think.

Was that a good thing or a bad thing?

:) Nonetheless, I still loved the gift. And the chowder. Seriously.
