YAAAAAAAAAY! I'm done with school... er.. for now. :) I would have danced in the parking lot... but it was just too damn hot. Accck! And my AC in the car isn't working for some reason. I was dying in my car... happy but hot and miserable.

I got $14 back for my books. 2 of them I couldn't sell at all because new editions of them are coming out next year. :( Sucky huh. Oh well, at least its something...

Afterwards, I went shopping and found the CUTEST pair of shoes! Visualize this: black open toe with one thick strap in the front with a buckle in the middle, a 3 inch heel and a thick black strap that goes around the ankle... CUTE HUH!! ;)

*as I'm trying on shoes*
strange woman next to me: ooooh.. those are nice!
me: You think? I dunno.. you don't think they make my ankles look fat?
strange woman: Nooooo!! In fact they look skinnier!!
me: Oh my gosh! Thanks! You don't think they look to dominatrix-y?
newest best friend/formerly strange woman: Noooo!! They look really sexy!! GET THEM!

But unfortunantly, the ones I tried on was the store's only pair they had were a size too big!! I searched and I searched... but alas, I cound't find any in 9's. Bummer huh... and they were pretty comfy too! I found a pair online, but they were waaaaay more expensive then I had originally found them. I guess I'll just have to go look somemore. :) Plus I need to go shopping for the dozens of graduations and gemini birthdays that are coming up. And since its too hot to stay at home... its good to know that stores are airconditioned. ;)

BLEH. ITS HOT.

It feels like that one scene in THE CORE *snickers* when the old black man had to go down into some tunnel and it sooooooo hot inside that once he stepped inside, his eye bulged out in his space helmet and the soles of his space suit were sticking on the floor... ITS THAT HOT.

Looks like summer is here... wheeee!

I got my bottles of sunblock and eskinol ready. That's MY kung-fu.

Whooo! What a weekend!

Hmmm.. ok... where to start...

Saturday night was Joe's PCN. :) I had to rush over there because Joe probably called me several million times to remind me to get there early because he was in the first act. I was there and Joe was really good dancing *duh* and acting. He was playing a filipino father... and at one point, he got "angry" which is always fun to watch because he never gets angry in real life. (well..not ANGRY ANGRY)

Look! Joe's dancing... Its blurry, but really... he's dancing.

If you couldn't tell it was him... you just had to read his butt...

Its not a PCN without the half naked boys with spears...

Where's Joe??

This is what Pilipino Cultural Night is all about... spreading and teaching the Filipino Culture to um.. these guys...

Joseph Regala Groupie #1

Afterwards, although Petey was craving some major filipino food (talk about a nice plug for "Salo Salo" which kept being mentioned in the PCN for its adobo), we went over to The Hat instead since it was closer and still open.

"Buzzzz... is it dead?"

No. Listen

Sunday morning... I fly to Oakland to attend Melissa's Pil-grad ceremony. :) Oh my goodness, while on the plane... the man next to me decided he wanted to read a magazine... so what does he pull out? PLAYBOY OH MY GOODNESS!! Luckily, he wasn't sitting right next to me... I had the window seat, he had the aisle seat and there was no one in the middle... but still. It was pretty horrifying... I just cozied up to my window and tried very hard to fall asleep.

Finally I arrive and I get picked up my Kathy! :) YAAAAAAAYYY!! She drops me off at Mel's big yellow house... but Mel isn't there! :( So I sit on the stoop for a bit, chit chatting with the birds and Beth (on the phone) until I see Melissa walking to me all dressed up in her old school SL senior sweatshirt! YAAY! Later on, her parents came and pick us up and it was off to the graduation...

Originally, we were sitting far away... but Ralph asked and we ended up right up front... kinda sorta in the same row a bit. Mel's looking a bit freaked...

Pil-grad was really really nice... and not as long as I thought it would be. ;) Each of the graduates, when announced, got to say something... and so there were a whole lot of tears as you can imagine. There were a whole lot of laughs too... It was great because after 5 years of hearing Mel talk about her friends... I was finally about to put faces to the names I had heard. I also FINALLY got to meet Des and Ralph... :)

Mel's saying her speech.

She's about to cry... but YAY! She's done!

Self-portrait

Me and Melissa... I'm her ninang! And she's gonna be my kids' ninang...

Melissa and Ralphie-poo.

After the picture was taken.. Melissa was serenaded by a drunk homeless man in the parking garage. Interesting.

I'm sooooo proud of her. :) SO SO SO SO SO SO PROUD!!

After having dinner with the family, Mel, Ralph, and I hitched a ride with Paul and Valerie over to Gradbash in SF. We parked next to this (what I'm assuming was) gay club called CHAPS. No wait.. it was called STUDS. (I knew it had some kind of cowboy reference.)

Anyways, the club gradbash was at was hella small and since there was soooo many people... it got HOT. So hot, that at one point, my GLASSES FOGGED UP. (Eww huh.) Oh wells, danced and drank and got to see some guy take off his shirt. Not too shabby huh. :)

Monday... woke up and went to have lunch with Mel and her friend Jill. Then it was off to the campus to sell some books... and then we went to Mondo Gelato. :) I think the devil makes that ice cream because my scoop of kiwi tasted just like the real thing... seeds and scratchy throat and all. Amazingly good. :)

We then walked back to the yellow house and napped... and packed... and then it was off to dinner again with Auntie and Uncle over at Marketplace where Ralph joined us (YES!! I'M FILIPINO DORK!! I CAN UNDERSTAND YOU!) and then it was off to the airport... onto a plane (no more Playboy reading guys sitting next to me) and now I'm home. :) YAY!

Well.. except I have 2 finals on Wednesday. BOO! But then... I'll be done too afterwards. YAY!

Oh my gosh. I had the BEST. DESSERT. EVER.

WOW.

I just got back from dinner with Carrie and Irene over at The Melting Pot over in Irvine. Its a fondue restaurant where you go DIP crazy! DIP DIP DIP! Appetizer was dipping apples and bread in cheese... Entre was dipping all sorts of raw meats into boiling broth to cook it... and dessert... wow... was strawberries, bananas, pineapples, brownies, poundcake, marshmellows, and cheesecake... all these to be dipped into or drizzled with CHOCOLATE.

WOW.

Seriously, I'm completely speechless. It was beyond delicious...

WOW.

Can I say that I'm in love?

Ok. perhaps that's a bit dramatic... but it was really really good. The cheesecake with the chocolate just melted in my mouth. Moans of pleasure were emmited, I was about to cry. Each bite was heaven and it wasn't just me... there were smiles all around the table.

WOW.

Anyways, since the whole meal was a bit pricey... we decided that if we were to go there next time... it would be just for dessert. Straight up dessert. Anyone wanna come along and experience it? :) Kid you not... I cross-my-heart-hope-to-die-pinky swear that its good. :)

SWEET GLORIOUS ELECTRICTIY!!

Oh my goodness... what a day!

So, I had gotten home from school around 7ish and usually, when I get home, I'd press the garage door remote button in my car, and the door would open for me. But today, I clicked... and it didn't open.

*click click click*

*not open not open not open*

I figured that the battery inside the opener was dead. No fretting just yet. There's always the front door.

Unfortunantly, the dead bolt on the door prevented me from entering the house. I was OFFICALLY LOCKED OUT. :(

"Oh curses... What was I to do!!" Well, I wasn't going to be defeated just yet. I'm crafty and "cunning"... I'm sure I can figure something out. So I went around the house and proceeded to "break into the kitchen window." By "break in" I meant taking off the screen and pushing really hard on the window, praying that it would budge. But it didn't.

As I was "breaking in", my neighbor was watching me from over the fence and asked "so... you're having a black out too?"

Ahhhh.. so that was the reason why the garage wasn't opening. THE ELECTRICITY WAS OUT!

After camping out in my backyard about 15 minutes, my mom and Carlene finally arrived home from shopping. I told them that the electricity was out.. and after some investigation (chatting with other neighbors), turns out that the entire block is out, it had been down already for 2 hours, and an additional 2 hours was going to be the minimum to get it back up and running! Argh! Since we were all hungry, and I was in dire need of a bathroom break, we went out to dinner.

2 hours later... the street is completely black. No power yet. No power means we're still stuck outside. Now we're just getting ansy... especially mom since she didn't go to the restroom while at the restaurant. So there we are... sitting in the car. THE AMERICAN IDOL FINALE is on and I'm in the dark. Literally. (Actually, not for long. Carlene called Sonny who found out in his Canadian time that Ruben won.) My neighbor Tina comes by and tells us that one of the women down the street works for Edison, and apparently we won't be getting power till MIDNIGHT, the earliest. Since she feels bad that we may be spending the night in the car (I claimed backseat!), she sent her husband over to see if maybe he can help us get the garage open. We all figure that theres no way to get the garage open... but theres a possibility that my window is open since I've been keeping it open to air out my sickgerms. So he gets his ladder, climbs up to the window, and SUCCESSFULLY "breaks into" my bedroom.

*gasp* Please excuse my messy room!!

Anyways, so finally we're inside the house. YAAAAY!! Its dark and its hot... it actually felt way nicer to be outside, but hey, I'm not gonna complain.

"oooooOo... its dark."

Luckily, I remember that Uncle Sonny gave us several boxes of those Jesus Candles... actually they're NOT Jesus candles... they're some kind of wack mock spiritual candles that my Uncle thinks are funny.. They have titles such as "Abudant True Love," "Protection from Telemarketers," or "Our Lady of Trailer Park". Yeah. Weird. But they're lifesavers.

I'm writing by the candlelight. How primitive... or romantic.
I just need a half blind Mr. Rodchester to cry out my name while banging his head against a tree in the rain. :)

Actually, the white candle is an actual Jesus candle I keep in my room. Specifically, its the Guardian Angel candle. I think I got it from the OCC banquet last year. ;)

Anyways, spent the rest of the night talking on the cellie (see it could have been worse!) as well as doing some writing and reading via candlelight. Thankfully, the electricty finally came back on after midnight so I don't think I did too much damage on my eyes.

What a crazy day...

OH! If anyone out there TAPED the American Idol finale... do tell and share. ;) I'll give you a candle...

Monday, May 19, 2003

I spent a good majority of the weekend miserable in bed. The coughing... the sneezing... the stuffy nose... the plugged ears... the icky throat... it was HORRIBLE. My hair was even looking sickly. It's still pretty-horrible, but since I started huffing VICKS its' gotten better. The worst was when I had to work Saturday afternoon and evening... I was breaking out into cold sweats and about ready to knock out while tieing those damn chaircovers... but I survived and I got an extra centerpiece to bring home!

Flowers make everything better.

Well, not really. I'm still suffering... But they are pretty to look at.

Anyways, had the last cki meeting downstairs in the Pub today for their free karaoke hour. :) Talk about FUN FUN FUN!! I guess they have their "regulars"... There was this one dude, Larry, who was so completely at home with the stage and microphone that he was making chit-chat with the audience while singing (ill) RESPECT. Too bad our first time doing it at school was on it's last day... but at least we have next year.

Friday, May 16, 2003

I sorta redecorated... again! :) Actually, it was more like "While You Were Out." While I was downstairs being sick and all, Carlene was up here working her computer magic. When I got up here, I made some finishing touches and "ta da" this was the end result.

I swear, its like shoes and purses... you need a pretty new change every so often.

OH... sad sad day...

Mark Madsen isn't gonna dance for me this year... :(

Nothing much has been happening in my little bubble o' life over here. I've been reading a lot... and in between the school stuff, I'll read something trashy to give my brain a little candy. Oh yes. Gotta love that brain candy.

Anyways, so life consists mainly of school/work/sleep. That's basically it. I'm not complaining though... I mean, it could be worse. It could be school/work/get leg chewed off by a shark/sleep.

I'm telling you, life a bucketful of sunshine, puppies, and lollipops compared to that.

I want to apologize to Jean for laughing at her obsession over Dawson's Creek. I used to watch it back in the "non-crappy" days, but I figured that since it was the last shindig at the creek, I should watch and see who ends up with whom. OH MY GOSH, I can't believe I was crying. A LOT. Stupid Show. Well, I was crying mostly at anything that had to do with Jen. When she was making her video for her baby, when Jack said that she "belonged to him" and that they were soulmates, when she was with PACEY and finally when she looked over at Grams and died. *sniff* WHY DID SHE HAVE TO DIE!! Dawson should have died and his still-beating heart could have saved Jen's life. Dawson... you suck. But then again...

I also want to say "HA HA HA" to Jean... because Joey ended up with PACEY. Thats right... The Mighty Duck got the girl. HAHAHAHA!!! Who's creek is it now!?? I was on the phone with Jean (bawling, of course) minutes before they showed who Joey was gonna end up with... and Jean was soooo sure that it was gonna be Dawson. Yeah right... I knew deep in my heart it was going to be PACEY. He's much more dreamier...

OK. Enough gloating over Joey and PACEY. I'm gonna read.

PACEY.

Random Stuff... Nicole is losing her mind.

But before that happens...
Happy Belated Birthday Nes!

Happy Birthday Kathy!

*ohh yeahhh*
jussme79: I napped earlier and had a dream bout u and conan
spaznik: hahahahahhaha
spaznik: SHUT UP!!!
jussme79: serious
jussme79: I dunno why I dreamed it
spaznik: were we happy and frolicking by the beach?
jussme79: juss that we were all at this italian restaurant ur mom and carlene took me to when I was there
jussme79: and he was feeding u garlic bread
jussme79: and carlene and I were eating pasta like lady and the tramp
jussme79: when we share one noodle

ROCK ON! :) Conan was feeding me garlic bread! There was also last week when I ran into Tracy and her mom at Target...
Mrs Go: How are you Nicole?
Me: I'm good.
Mrs Go: How's Conan?

YAY!

OK. I am going babble now.

I don't want to vote anyone off AMERICAN IDOL... well anymore. At least Carmen is gone and as cute as Josh was, it was his time too. (But I do admit to crying last week when he was singing to his daughter... It was just tugging on my heart.) I like Ruben... but I like Clay too... and Kimberley has a voice.... oh my. I'm torn. I voted for all 3 of them. How useless am I?? I just don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I'm sure if I were on American Idol, they'd vote for me too.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Anyways, the house smells like MAN. Well, more specifically, Men's Cologne. Apparently I guess its Glade's new plug-in scent. :P Its like when you're in the mall and you walk by a gang of "azn" boys who smell like the just drenched themselves in Coolwater.

Ok. Enough procrastinating. I go study now.

A great big "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" to all the mommies out there... especially my own since shes the BESTEST MOMMY I'VE EVER HAD!** :)

**Note: When I was younger, my mom said that I would tell her this all the time. She then continued by saying "like you've had other mommies to compare me with." And you wonder where the sarcasm comes from. Ten bucks says that while I was adorably going on and on about her being the "bestest mommy I've ever had", she was probably laughing inside, but kept it to herself. She IS the greatest mommy I've ever had!!

I LOVE my mom. Love x Infinitity+1! She may be crazy sometimes, but I seriously think that Carlene and I are 2 of the luckiest girls in the whole world to have her as our mother.

Unfortunantly today, Mom was feeling pretty ill... so instead of going out, we picked up some Thai food on the way home from work and watched DVDs. :) Nice and relaxing... especially since we were working all day.

Oh my gosh, had another nightmare about roses attacking me last night.

Work today wasn't too bad, well except Carlene now knows about the EVILS of chaircovers. MUHAHAHAHAHAHA. Feel my pain! Anyways, the wedding today was over at the Ritz Carlton over in Marina Del Rey. Since this is one fancy hotel, (valet was $23) we parked across the street from the hotel, climbed over a slight wall, and jay-ran to the Ritz. Well, if there was one place you didn't want to walk into looking crap-tacular as if you had just climbed over a wall and jay-ran across a busy street, this was it. I kept on joking that when we were asking directions to the ballroom, the attendent would tell us to "go down the lobby stairway, go down the hallway to your right, then use the doubledoors to go outside... and then YOU STAY THERE!" Everyone was pretty delusional due to the lack of sleep and so work was fun in this painful sort of way. I had one freaky moment where I dropped one of the fresh flower candle rings... and it broke. "Thats it," I thought, "I'm getting fired!" But I didn't and at least we salvaged what we could and it came out alright... well until 10 minutes before the ceremony starts . Thats when some guest decides to jump the draped aisle, but instead trips and an entire aisle side fall to the ground. Flowers, glass, and carnage is all over the place. Argh. But we fixed it all somehow and from then on, everything was smooth sailing and quite beautiful. :)

Yay!

Saturday, May 10, 2003

I woke up a while ago from a nap... I had a nightmare about having to make giant rose centerpieces and not having enough time to finish before the wedding. Thank goodness it was only a dream...

Anyways, in addition to Mother's Day, I shall dub this weekend as "Bring Your Sister to Work" day(s). That's how it was these past few days (and tomorrow) since we've have 2 BIG weddings and my boss is calling in all the reinforcements. In addition to Carlene, my bosses brought in their own sisters and various family for help. OH. And theres a new guy who's helping too. ;)

When Brandi asked me what kind of guy I wanted her to look out for... I didn't think she'd take me literally.

Just kidding about that. ;) But the new guy is HANDSOME. (note that: not cute... HANDSOME.)

Enough about handsome Brian. May Wedding Madness is ON and I shall have no life until the end of the month. Currently my hands are in dire need of mositurizing... and my left thumb is slowly regaining feeling after being stabbed repeatly from thorns from this past week. Thursday, I spent 8 hours in the shop listening to nothing but CLASSIC ROCK. I can sing Guns N Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle" now. "sha-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na knees... knees."

My whole nightmare about the roses wasn't far from the truth. The centerpieces today required 75 long stemmed roses in just one. Let me tell you, if that centerpiece were to fall over, someone is going to die a very painful but heavently scented death.

Ok. Not DIE. Maybe a recieve a mild concussion and many many many scratches. I still wouldn't wish that upon anyone.

Oh but of course, everything turned out well and very beautiful. :) And deep down, even though I complain... I really do like my job. :) "Flowers are pretty."

Anyways... GO LAKERS! Big thanks to the old guy who bought us drinks yesterday night. ;)

Isn't it funny to be talking of marrying some man you've never even seen? What is he doing at this very moment? Shaving-- swearing-- breaking his heart over some other girl? Still, he's to marry me

Its offical!! :)

I'm going to Indy for ICON!

Home of Benjamin Harrison, the 23th President of the United States...
HERE I COME!

Tuesday, May 06, 2003

As my boss is writing out my paycheck...
Brandi: I pay you $ right?
Me: Yep! *jokes* But feel free to give me more. I have been here a year...
Brandi: Has it been a year already? Wow! Alright... How about $ + $1

I got a raise of a whole buck! :) Whoohooo!! Supersize that drink BABY!!

But I know, every little bit counts and in the end, it will all add up to a very happy sum... granted that I don't squander it away on useless things.

But that pancake pan that flips pancakes with a twist of a wrist looks so cool...

MR. PERSONALITY is one creepy show.

Seriously. Mr. Green Mask is studying HYPNOSIS! Last week, while the girl was talking with Mr. Light Blue Mask, Green Mask was crouching up on a balcony "observing" her... *shudder* Thats not love... thats mind games!!

And this whole mask thing... it just reminds me of something kinky/freaky from EYES WIDE SHUT. Just take it off already!! Your head is probably baking underneath it and when she picks you... she won't be THAT HAPPY to see a giant prune perched a top of the neck of the one she loves.

And yet, I continue to watch this trash. Why? BECAUSE I'M SICK I TELL YOU!!! SICK!!!

Anyways, speaking of men and kinky and all that good stuff...

If I had a dime for everytime I mistook a cop for a stripper... then... um... I'd have 20 cents.

Here's something you don't see everyday...

"I'm serious tonight, no guys. SCREW GUYS!! I just need to... I've had a rough week and I need to dance it out. I just want to stand in a circle around our pocketbook and shoes and just... I just wanna DANCE!"

Man. I love Dane Cook. He just knows.

So last night went back to LA with Petey to continue the WEEK O' RUPERT fun! :) We went over to Grand Avenue to play with Carrie, Jean, Shirin, Ally, Mondo, Ryan, Alice, David, Joe, and of course Rupert. The night was rather um... "freaky." I'm NOT complaining though. ;) I don't think I will EVER forget seeing Jean get bombarded by 4 guys on the dancefloor... that was just classic. And to think she didn't want to go. Lucky girl...

@ Tommy's after the club
Joe: You're in my hood now. If you see someone take out a gun... just drop to the ground.

Anyways, Carlene and my mom just finished their MS bike tour today. 2 days of biking... one of which was in the RAIN. They're tired, bruised, and bloodied... but they're happy. :) I'm so proud of them...

Saturday, May 03, 2003

Last night, Carlene slept in my bed. I got home late and we were chatting... and while I was TALKING, she fell asleep and didn't wake up when I asked her to go her own bed. So I slept crunched up against the wall without any blanket. :P Just like those olden days...

Anyways, I went back to Disneyland this afternoon (I know.. I'm a Disney WHORE!! Lay off!) and met up with Jean, Sakura, Ryan, and Rupert. The only sucky part was that the moment I stepped off the monorail... it started POURING RAIN. Families started running for shelter and I quickly figured that my sweatshirt was not going hack it. So while trying to call Jean and Co. to see where they were, I ran into one of the stores and got an umbrella. I also got a poncho for Rupert because I figured that he probably was on the verge of freezing since he's been bitterly disappointed by the cold LA weather since arriving from Jamaica. (Cold LA weather means no girls skating around in bikinis. Sorry man.)

So now I have my nifty disney umbrella and I find everyone taking shelter in the mini McDonald shack (which only sells French Fries. Lucky Rupert!) They wanted to go on Splash Mountain (no need! its raining already!) but got fast passes instead. We go over to Disney California Adventure, where we meet up with Petey, and go to A BUGS LIFE 3D FREAKY MOVIE WHERE SOMETHING IS TOUCHING YOU... AND ITS NOT THE PERSON SITTING NEXT TO YOU attraction and ride the Roller Coaster!! (which I SWEAR goes faster at night. Also maybe since it was raining, the track was wet hence making it faster than usual.) After all the rides, we went over to Downtown Disney where we met up with Irene, Chris, Alice (who drove down from Berkeley for all the rainy day fun!), Carrie, Andrew (YAY!), Luc, Joanne, Steph, Alex... am I missing anyone? I hope not... Anyways, so we have a TERRIFFIC dinner at Rainforest where Jean's hardcore flirting with the waiter ("You know... we've been waiting here for 2 HOURS!!!") gets our table free dessert, special cherry coke, AND a cup full of long stemmed cherries for *you know what*... and there some giant mixup about testicles, tentacles, and fried calamaries named Rupert Jr. Ohhh my GOOD TIMES!

Lesson of the night: An "orgy" consist of a minimum of 5 people... without their shoes on.

Don't ask.

IDENTITY ROCKED!!

And I bet that if i watched it without hiding underneath my sweatshirt with my fingers in my ears .. It would have ROCKED EVEN MORE!!
