ok... for every crap day... theres like a hundred days of sheer bliss that make the crap day seem like it didn't exist at all. :) Today was definitely one of those days...

I got up early... and went to work. Today was a GREAT day at work because I got to actually make arrangements. :) YAAAY!! Its was pretty exciting sticking the flowers in the foam and making sure it looked just "perfect." OOoooo... I was a giddy little worker today.

Came home, took a shower, watched some TRADING SPACES, and got ready for Tina's bday dinner. :) I left... then came home because i forgot my camera. Left again... then came back home again because I forgot Tina's gift. Left once again.. but came back again because I forgot the book that Keri wanted to borrow. Finally leave and finally get to the restaurant.

I had sooo much fun! :) Got to see all of the old "table"... Keri, Tina, Mariss, Joey and JP... and then some (May.. *YAY* Jackson... *EH*). JP and Joey were drinking buddy-o-buddies as usual...JP was screaming our names outloud whenever we made a smartass comment and Joey was happily showing off his "easy eye" when really.. we just wanted to see his dialiatng nipples ;P Brett came and brought a couple of his roomies.. who were some pretty interesting characters. Jazz introduced himself to me like so:
Jazz: Hi... whats your name?
Nicole: Hi.. i'm Nicole...
Jazz: my name is James... I got no game... so I'll just stare at you. *stares*
... Andy... Andrew... UGh. forgot his name.. this guy who laughed by snorting his nose... THAT GUY... well he was a bit esscentric and well... kinda scared me. Screamed a lot and flailed his arms way too many times. ;P Brett was as cute as ever (hahah) and Sid got a "soft porn" pic with all the girlies cause... i dunno. it just happened.

In the end... i don't know if poor Tina was drunk or just really really tired. :) But I think we all had fun... us girls got to catch up a bit on each others lives and well... making smart ass gay comments about Joey and JP. :) There was a group of older ladies next to our table who were having a birthday dinner too... and when they got their bday pizookie... Brett yelled.. GO LAKERS. :) When it was Tina's turn... one of those little old ladies yelled GO LAKERS back. ;) *good times*

:P CRAP-TACULAR DAY!

ok... I lie.. it wasn't ALL to bad... but UGH.

So my car has been acting up AGAIN. Like everytime I START it or its in PARK or when I'm driving and I hit the breaks... it would do this horrible demonic jump... like it wants to throwup something. Thats it exactly... its like its gagging. So I admit... when it first happened, I just disregarded it... but it kept on getting worse and worse... and so it was like GAGGING ALL THE FREAKING TIME! So I decided today to go to the VW shop so that they can fix it.

I hate going to the dealer.. especially the one in Covina cause in the past, the guys who worked there were assholes (i think it may have to do with the way dad was probably harassing them and giving them a hard time... but HEY!! I'm not my dad!) and other that the inital problem.. something always goes wrong. One time I went there to get a light fixed... as I was leaving my window broke. Went back there to get my light fixed again... and when i came home it was still broken. Annoying stuff like that. Unfortunantly I had a feeling that my car-neglect was going to add up in this problem and I know that the Covina dealer is pretty much the cheapest place.. so I went there.

OK. SO... the electrical thingie in the engine was malfunctioned. And now they have to replace it. :/

Feeling already bad about the whole thing... I call my dad to confer about the payment of this. Well calling dad means that you automatically get a lecture on your carelessness and how driving the car is just about the worse thing you can do in the world. OH. Not to mention bills billls bills... And well... I'm not feeling any better after this conversation.

Did I mention I got there at 1pm?

5 hours later.. its done.

I stayed there the entire time.

Mom came by afterwork thinking that she was going to take me home... but we were told that it would be done by 5... and since it was already 4.. I'd stick around and wait out that last hour. She left to go to the clinic.

It was a hour and a half.

Hmmmmm... so happy point of my day? Actually, I did have one. :) I ran into Johnny! :) Yep... I told him about dinner tomorrow and he just might drop by and visit. :) Yay fun stuff...

Anyways, the car is WAY better now... :) I can totally feel this difference... it doesnt feel like its on the verge of exploding anymore. Thats a good thing.

OH and I just loooove Kathy.. :) *in that non-lesbian way of course* She totally made me smile with her whole shoutbox story. I miss her. :) Come down and play Kathy!!

its only 7pm... the day isn't over just yet so maybe things will get better? cross your fingers!! :)

Wow.. its going to be another blog about Joe.

Never ride in the car with Joe. You will feel like your life is slowly wasting away. Seriously. He puts his car on cruise control... 67mph at first... then it was 65... and then to really piss me off.. it went down to 55.. hahahaha.. he drives like my dad... REALLY REALLY SLOW. He even went as far to turn off the radio so that we can "talk." The sign says to go 65MPH... so Joe goes 65. MY usual 20 minute drive to Riverside took about 40 minutes. Basically, the whole ride back was me being exceptionally smart-assy. : ) Screaming "TAKE ME WITH YOU" to cars going 70... remarking on the fact that at 65 he can dance like crazy but he can't drive at 80 with both hands on the wheel... telling him that the cops are going to pull him over and give him a thurmbs up for being overly cautious... etc. For me, when people go slow on the freeway and I'm behind them and people are passing me up.. I feel as if I'm missing something. I'm not saying you should speed like a demon on crack... but just GO WITH THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. :) Thats on the freeway... when he's on surface streets.. he's a MANIC. I think I almost puked in the parking lot of Cal Poly. :P

Joe: The sign didn't say STOP. So I didn't
Nicole: You weren't looking for a stop sign.. you were looking for a MPH sign to see how fast you're allowed to go in the parking lot.

Wait.. why were we in Riverside? Well Joe, Steph and myself drove (slowly) over there to go to the UCR meeting... and then afterwards chilled at Petey's to watch the Laker game. *teardrop* It was pretty funny because we got free food from these 2 guys who were carrying a deli platter at the commons at UCR.. and I guess they saw Joe eying it and getting all drooly and puppy dog faced... so they just gave him the whole thing. Yep. Pretty bad ass. So there we were... eating free roast beef, drinking warm lemon pepsi, and watching the Lakers lose. Talk about STRESSED! At halftime... we looked at Petey's baby pictures... awww so cute! ;) We were really hoping that the Lakers would win...and so that when Petey goes to the game on Friday... they would win... and he would get to be part of the "riots" if they were to happen. But noo.. it didn't happen. *sniff* Ok.. lets not talk about this....

OK.. so now I'm offically excited for ICON. :) I have my plane ticket booked and I think I found my roomies for the whole shebang. :) YAAY! Plus we're gonna get there a few days early so that we can go to DISNEYWORLD! :Sooooo exciting. Now I just need to figure out how I can pack the George Forman grill and Brita water filter... hmmmmm...

oh my gosh... there are these damn cats ourside... and they fight like EVERY night. They sound like a couple of babies crying... but they're cats!! OH.. there's a couple of owls who are like hooting like crazy in the morning. Its pretty scary cause its not like "hoo hoo hoo" its more like "HooHohOhOhOOhOhOhOhOhHOoHooo" like they are getting it on in the tree. Ewwww.

Had an pretty emotional night tonight... I really don't know what to say... which is what I guess is a problem because I'm always searching for the right thing to say and I can't at the moment. I'm not making sense am I... . :/ Hmmmm... it should be ok... I hope so. UGH.

Ahhhh.. Memorial Day... its like the official start of SUMMER! :) Yaay summer!

:) Today, I cleaned out the spa with Michael... and then fell into it. *dont ask* Mom had the day off so she BBQed like CRAZY and so Chelle, Dielle, and Joe came over and we had a feeding frenzy and watched ZOOLANDER for like the 100th time. I love that movie... I was watching it last night with Michael... except we were watching it with Ben Stiller's comments so that made it just a bit more interesting.

Joe got a bit freaked out by Carlene cause she actually made a "JOE PHOTO MONTAGE" on the fridge since she was going through my pictures and found a lot of him. Its pretty freaking hilarious... he has his own special corner of our refridgerator. I think there are actually more pictures of him up there than of Mom, Carlene or myself. :) Carlene actually wanted to blow the whole thing up and maybe use it to cover the ENTIRE fridge.. but that might be a bit much. Sooo.. if you wanna see the famous JOE PHOTO MONTAGE.. come on over. Admission is $1. (Joe... you'll get 25% of the profits.)

Darn those sappy love songs... they totally make you sappy along with it. ;) They're pretty... they're romantic... they're pretty much the whole embodiment of what you want when you fall in love... and they make you hopeful that it will actually happen to you. Damn them all to hell. :P Not really. :) Perhaps I'm moody and emotional because I just finished re-reading one of my favorite romance novels... You know a book is good when you get that flutter in your chest at certain parts (I'm not talking about the sex parts because really once you read one.. you've read them all... its the same old stuff. Plus they arent THAT romantic...in fact they're funny... don't tell me you wouldn't laugh after reading "As we embrace, I feel his ministerial love wand rising with desire beneath his chasuble, and unable to resist, we make torrid, sanctified love on the cold cement floor." Oh please.)... but this one is just full of those chest-fluttering moments. The moments where he realizes that he LOVES her and would fight dragons for her... *sigh* I'm lame. ;P

Have you ever woken up from a dream and just get so confused because it just seemed so real? And you wish to God it was "real life" cause that dream was just sooooo great? I've been having dreams like that the past few days... I'm not going to go into detail as to what the dreams entail due to the fact that I don't want people to go.. "Oh that Nicole... she's a dreaming WHORE!" but they've been pretty terriffic and I get all sad when I wake up in the morning and discover that it all wasn't real... Yeah... some parts of it were pretty extreme (hmmm... almost falling into a giant river of orange soda and iguanas.... ewww... is there supposed to be a sign behind that!?!?) but other parts were fun and happy. I feel like Dorothy after she wakes up from her OZ dream... I turn around and I just wanna say "Woah.. I had this dream... and YOU were in it...", "Hahahah.. I can't believe what you did!", or "Damn.. you were GOOD in my dream..." ;)

Just a thought.

Take me to the zoo that's got chimpanzees
Tell me on a Sunday please...

-Andrew Llyod Webber
Wow... I went to the zoo... I got to see chimpanzees... And it is a Sunday... now I just have to be told something of semi-vital importance and the song will be complete!

My day started when Carlene came home and pounced on my bed... waking me up from this pretty crazy but happy dream. ;) Got up and got ready while her and Michael made some breakfast... and then it was off to San Diego!! *yay*

The car ride was LONG... but entertaining since Michal brought his motherload book of cds so it was a sing-a-long all throughout that hour and a half or so... "one, two, three, four... come on baby say you love me five, six, seven times... " After Stevie Wonder's I Just Called to Say I Love You (which I might say is a groovy inspiring song... I was sooo close to calling up all my friends and putting up the phone to the speakers and scream.. "I DO LOVE YOU!" but nah... that would be too weird.), as well as the entire Janet Cd... we were finally there... the San Diego Zoo! But there was one obstacle for us... parking. It seemed like everyone and their mother decided to go to the zoo that day... and well it isn't like disneyland parking.. its more like the first day at school parking where you have to babysit lanes and follow people around hoping that they are leaving... well we did all that but nothing was happening... so Mom decided to make up her own spot. She's such a rebel.

The zoo was GREAT! :) Yeah, it was crowded... but it was still fun. I think the last time we had gone to the zoo was when my cousins Paul and Kristine came to visit from the Philippines back in '84... so everything was a real treat. Hmmmmm... where do I start... well we got to see tigers... monkeys, gorillas, and chimpanzees... PANDAS (yay! we saw the baby panda!! sooo cute!), deer-dog thingies, elephants, gazelles, lots and lots and lots of birds (where Carlene performed her own bird mating call that went a bit like "MICHAEL... COME HERE!"), Kangaroos, GIRAFFES, gophers.... yeah.. there were a lot of animals. It was just lots and lots of fun... not to mention lots and lots of walking... but its all good.

Carlene: I don't know about the zoo man... all the animals stink.

Tired, hungry, and convinced that we smelled like the animals... we decided to drive down to old town San Diego to get some dinner. So we finally get there (thanks jean for directions!) and we settle on this Mexican restaurant... and we order drinks. Well Nicole hasn't eaten anything the entire day and silly her orders a Margarita... and well.. Nicole gets pretty tipsy. :) Heeeey.. it wasn't only me.. it was Mom too. :P Dinner was delicious, they had some live music serenading us... the day was just perfect. Since mom was slighty intoxicated... she makes Michael drive home and I knock out in the back. :) Fun stuff...

It was a crazy night... I'm definitely tired and I really should get some sleep since I get to go to the ZOO tomorrow... but hey... its my blogger. And I'm a psycho like that.

Anyways, just got back from the OCC Pajama Jam... and it was awesome. :) I had a real good time over there... it was your typical CKI banquet with a twist.. they did the whole program backwards... very a la "MOMENTO" which was pretty funny. I WENT SHOPPING!! :) Carrie and I went halfers on Mikie at the auction so I think we're probably gonna make him wash our car without his shirt and play in the water for our viewing pleasure. hahaha.. nah. Stop crying Mikie. The DJ was dope and everyone was on the dancefloor...(including an inflatable dinosaur... Petey's new gal-pal) The dance was definitely interesting... poor Joe was mad when everyone started pressuring and pushing him to dance to "Pop"... and I think Mondo was smoking some kind of crack cause... he was.. hmmm.. how do you say... "freaky". Yep. Thats it. *gasp* (it was kinda cute!) ;) Later on, we brainstormed these TERRIFFIC ideas to make Hailes the pimp at ICON. :) Cal-Nev-Halies?? Ooooh yeeeah....

Well afterwards, Mikie and Lan took your usual CKI afterparty to another level.. they got a NICE ASS hotel room at the Embassy Suites in Costa Mesa and brought along the "magic bag." Since its like 3am and I'm here blogging... you probably can come to the conclusion that I didn't stay very long cause.. well I gotta wake up early to go to the ZOO! But while I was there, it was very chill despite the harassment of hotel managers on ocassion.. I met some new people and meeting new people is always a good thing isnt it?? *duh*

:) I'm soooo in love with my new cd.. hehehehe.. I'm a silly girl. I got the soundtrack to the movie "Kissing Jessica Stein" which is a movie that I have never seen but just saw the Cd for at Borders and listened to it... :) Its seriously the best female Jazz compilation cd out there... has tracks with Diana Krall, Dinah Washington, Peggy Lee, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald... all the songs are just AWESOME. All pretty and romantic songs... you know... stuff to swoon too. Like you can totally imagine slow dancing to it.. but not like regular "hand on the shoulder, hand on the waist.. side step side step" slow dance... the kind where you have both arms around the guy in this great embrace... and you can feel his cheek against yours... and you just close your eyes and sway with the music... exactly like that.

Well, today was seriously the LONGEST day... I had a wedding down in Newport Beach at the Hyatt Newporter. *really really beautiful hotel... but the ballroom had a low ceiling hence eliminating it from my list of potential hotels for weddings* :) Ok.. I'm like becoming this pro at twinkle lights and putting them in trees. I ROCK the TWINKLE LIGHTS! WATCH OUT CHRISTMAS TREE!! All thoughout the day... the phrase "hell is a tangled mess of twinkle lights" kept on going over and over in my head while I spent the WHOLE day atop of a ladder twinkle-lighting birch trees and making the band backdrop of twinkle-light and chiffon. *i think I got twinkle-light-burn on my face..." But it all came out looking pretty damn pretty if I do say so myself. The day was long... but it was still fun... my boss and her husband are totally great to work with and they're so freaking hilarious. Doug can make wookie noises... and Brandi said to me today, "Nicole... when the business gets big... I'll get YOU an assistant!" ;) They're really great and I feel so lucky to have found this job. Its hard work... but its fun! :)

EclipseJMR: or coming down them chino hills
EclipseJMR: i'll find that bear that ate you and i'll eat him
EclipseJMR: actuall no cuz if i did that it'll be like eating you and that would go against what i'm trying to do
EclipseJMR: cuz i'll be trying to catch me
EclipseJMR: and since i don't have a tail to chase around then it's not possible
EclipseJMR: well maybe a bear didn't eat you
EclipseJMR: maybe you just nodded off and are sleeping on the computer right now

EclipseJMR: and you can't hear cuz of the fluid
EclipseJMR: heheh
EclipseJMR: it's cool...then that's the only conclusion i can come to
EclipseJMR: it must be drool in the ear
spaznik: hahahaha... joe youre a DORK
EclipseJMR: heheh
EclipseJMR: i'm so bored
spaznik: ahhaahhah.. why dont you gooooooo...

EclipseJMR: you can be r2d2
spaznik: thats cool... r2d2 is WAY cooler anyways...
spaznik: and c3po... is a SISSY droid.

OK... so Joe has this thing about 3rd jokes... Actually Mikie and Lan are the ones that pointed it out... about how generally (not just Joe), the 3rd joke isnt as funny as the first or second... and in most instances KILLS it. This is a prime example. ;)

*on winning Volleyball*
EclipseJMR: we got shirts
EclipseJMR: it says
EclipseJMR: to be #1
EclipseJMR: you must always play like you're #2
EclipseJMR: i dunno if that mkes sense
EclipseJMR: or if that's a good thing to tell people
spaznik: well if you're #2... that means that you really want to strive to be #1...
EclipseJMR: well how about #3
EclipseJMR: or #4
spaznik: like... if you're #2... would you just settle for being #2??
spaznik: knowing that you are close to being #1..
EclipseJMR: see that's where the argument is
spaznik: its the same as #3 or #4... but just more effectve with #2.
EclipseJMR: it's not really something you get that fast
EclipseJMR: so some poepl might get it
EclipseJMR: others will be like huh
EclipseJMR: and i was like huh
spaznik: hahahahahah.... oh wells. you can make a new shirt that says #1... DEAL WITH IT LOSER!
EclipseJMR: that's right

EclipseJMR: C you next quarter
EclipseJMR: hahah
spaznik: i dont get it.
EclipseJMR: ok nevermind

:) You gotta love Joe. He's so freaking cool!

:) had a fun day today... basically just chilled with Carlene. It was our SISTER-SISTER DAY OF FUN!

It all started when Carlene jumped on my bed and woke me up by squeezing the life out of me... I tried to turn my head and see if I can get her with horrible morning breath.. but that didn't work. I was up and there was no way I would be able to go back to sleep. Got up.. got ready.. and we were off. Carlene needed to get her oil changed and car checked up.. so we went over to the car shop so that they can do all that good stuff. Afterwards, went to this KICK ASS thai food place in Claremont and had Thai suman which is a sweet sticky ricedessert for filipinos... Its funny... cause we weren't expecting it really... we had thought it would be like a fried rice deal thingie.. but it wasn't. OK.. that wasn't really THAT funny... but there's more. It brought back memories. Ahhhh. See... as we were growing up, my nanang would always put out a plate of suman for tatang as like an offering to him since he was dead. And she did it EVERY time she made it cause I'm guessing it was his favorite food or something. So it was pretty common to see a pile of driedup rice on an alter around the house. Anyways, althought it was common... it still freaked me out. You know how on Christmas Eve you leave out milk and cookies for Santa.. and in the morning, its gone cause Santa came? Well I was always scared that little by little the suman would dissappear and that would mean that tatang's spirit would always be luring around... eating whatever we left out for him. Its a weird thing...

Moving on...

Anyways... so afterwards, we went to the mall. :) Enough said... DAY-O-FUN complete.

which Episode II character are you?

Probably the greatest Jedi Knight of all. Like Obi Wan, you are wise and keep your feet on the ground at all times. You will not be outsmarted by anyone. You are always faithful to your friends. Be careful though, danger lurks around every corner - you could even be betrayed by those closest to you.

:) I went to go watch Star Wars again with Carrie and Manny.. this time... the goal was to try to find NSYNC in it. Its true!! George Lucas's daughter is a big fan of NSYNC and they got invited to Skywalker ranch... Anyways... it wasn't the entire group. Only Jc, Chris, and Joey... and I didn't even see them. Apparently they were dressed up as Jedis and were killed. :( Sad. (stop cheering you NSYNC hating fools.) The movie was even more cheesy the second time around.... but still fun.

I am loving my job more and more. Its funny cause it really isnt what I expected it to be.. I mean I mainly do a lot of organizing. But I'm having a good time doing it. Yeah.. rolling a 50 yard drap IS NOT not exciting at all... its kinda a pain... but at the same time its fun. The smallest thing really excites me when I'm in the warehouse... when I roll that damn 50 yards and the ends are even (thats sooo hard) or finding that broken light bulb in a tangled mess of twinkle lights and when i replace it and the whole thing works... its sheer bliss!! ok. I'm really really lame. Either that or I'm just really easy to please. :( Ugh. Still very EH. I didn't get the class that I needed for summer school... EH. I seriously was on the verge of throwing up driving home from school. Now I think I'm just going to take another child development class so I won't come down with a case of summer cabin fever. Well, thats if I can get into that... I think I can. *cross fingers* If not.. then it looks like Nicole's summer will mainly consist of work.. which isn't so bad since I really should start saving up for Orlando... maybe I'll take up a new hobby or something? Jean wants me to try some performance classes with her... but auditions would be on June 8.. my birthday... and probably most likely I'll have to work a wedding that day.. so I'm not sure whats going to happen with that. But that would be pretty cool...

Anyways, I'm just thankful to have Carlene off this week since lucky duck her doesn't have any finals. So... we rearranged the garage today. :) YAY! Don't give me that look... it was fun.. kinda. We found this huge HORRIBLE picture of my mom... I think it was probably from the late 80's.. she has this weird perm gerry-curl action going on... and she just looks completley different... she actually looks older than she does now. (the 80's did that to people... make them older than what they really were... it must have been the fushia makeup and the shoulder pads... ewww) Well after laughing our asses off... we stuck it on the fridge. I don't know if its still up there cause mom started screaming when she saw it...

Sunday, May 19, 2002

Okies.. I lied. Carlene has her door locked and so I assume that shes sleeping or on the phone. :) So let me take advantage of whatever it is and let me blog a bit more and not so rushed.

Anyways, so I guess I've been in this EH mood lately. I don't know why... probably a culmination of all sorts of things which resulted in me being either abnormally quiet or quite bitchy. I don't know.. its just that little things were just ticking me off. Its petty and its ridiculous... but gosh.. it happens. You just want to slap someone... or go scream holy hell over the tallest mountains... But I guess all the small things just build up in me and TA DA... I'm pissed to the point where all I can say is "I'M PISSED" and I get a writing cramp from venting every irritating detail into my diary. Maybe I'll come back to the land of the HAPPY happy HAPPY happy living soon... I don't like doing this bitchy thing 24/7... as freeing as it is... it isnt very positive and I'm sure I can be quite careless and rude sometimes.. not to mention... that theres no use on dwelling on crap anyways cause 1) the past is the past. Let it go. (i'm not talking about any instance in particular... but its just something thats true.) 2) sometimes people aren't going to change... you just need to accept it and learn how to deal with them. (once again.. not talking about anybody in particular... )

But it hasn't been all EH and BLAH and DIE EVERYONE DIE... I've had a really good week... even with finals and all... its just that I'm moody.

Awwww... how cute is that... Carlene left me a post-it on my desk saying "Hey you are HOTT" complete with a heart and smiley face. :) Well.. I think its for me.. or maybe she was just writing a note to herself. ;P I'll just pretend its for me...

OH!! Everyone needs to go to www.emotioneric.com. This guy TOTALLY made my day!! Its totally hilarious and I guess in a silly way, I have a little crush on emotioneric.

OK.. I have 30 minutes to blog really quckly... Carlene is in dire need of the computer. And yeah... 30 minutes is kinda a long time... but when it comes to me and blogging.. it can be fast.. or it can be slow... depending on what I remember and what was significant about my day... or day(s) in this case.. so let's begin.

ACK.. I dont remember what I did yesterday!!

Oh wait... ok.. so on Friday, I drove over to the DCM over in Ontario and then right after, drove with Joe (he was driving behind me... so I had to drive 65 so he can catch up.. you know.. he likes to drive "safely".) on down to Buena Park to go to the Magic Kingdom banquet. :) That was really nice and cozy... not to mention incredibly HOT in that banquet room. It was good to see some old faces.. I got to talk with Bryan and catch up a bit on how everything was... he told me that they basically dropped the house on the wicked witch of the west.. and now they are free. :) Lucky Stephanie!! After the DCM, a bunch of us opted not to go to the afterparty and instead ended up kicking it in the parking lot of the Radisson... debating on where we would go. SO it was decided that we would try to go Starbucks... so we go... and thats closing. More debating in the parking lot... and its decided that we will go to IHOP. So we go.. and thats closed. So finally... we go to Dennys.. since its ALWAYS open... and we finish up our night there.

Today, it was the CPP pool party... and well everyone and their mother got thrown into the pool. Its lame... you know this happens EVERY year... and you think.. "this year.. its not going to happen again.." and there you are.. inside the pool with your clothes on and your glasses fogging up. OH wells. :) The whole thing was fun.. althought I think my face is a bit sunburnt. Anyways... so people were flying into the pool... people staring and comparing nipples... mike running around with a palm tree down his pants... your usual CKI party. :) Afterwards, came home.. took a shower and cleaned up... got my pictures (YAY PICTURES!) and then went to Chilis to meet up with everyone again... hung out there for a while... and then Joe, Mondo, Ryan, and other dude from OCC (sorry.. I dont remember his name... oh WAIT!! its Mark! ok.. yeah.. him) went over to Steph's place.. and then from there went to Concordia University for Relay for Life cause Joe was feeling "servicey"... it was cold.. sorta drizzling... for a while it was DARK.. we were there for a while but only worked like 45 minutes... oh well... it was FUN. YAY TAKING DOWN CANOPIES!! :)

Ok.. so there. I'm done.. and I think I have some time left. :) Yay.

Just got back from watching a near midnight showing of STAR WARS Episode II, "GETTING IT ON." Actually there really wasn't any visible "getting ons" more like cheesy lines about soft skin and caressing... but you know what I mean. It was pretty good... except the dialogue was pretty eh and Hadyen Christensen wasn't want you would call Oscar worthy... but one thing made it all worthwhile. YODA. :) If you've seen it already... you know which part I'm talking about. If not... You need to see it cause Yoda is the JEDI. (I was going to say "Yoda is the man".. but he's not... he's a small green thing... but he totally ROCKS.)

I haven't seen Episode 1... kinda heard it sucked ass majorly... but I've seen the original trilogy cause... well Han Solo is a babe. :) That whole Han and Leila romance is so cute. Anakin and Padme... I dunno. Not really so cute. More cheesy... and Anakin is irritatingly cocky. (not to mention we pretty much know how HE's going to turn out.) Han is cocky.. but not as annoying. PLUS he's Harrison Ford... Definitely gets points for that.

Star Wars... the incredibly girly point of view.

Anyways... the whole experience was great cause the theater was packed and the audience was really into it. We cheered when the lights dimmed... we cheered when the little AMC film character introduced the previews... we cheered when that ended and LUCAS FILMS appeared on the screen... and we went a bit psycho when the whole thing started. There were even guys in the audience that were making wookie noises. When Anakin and Padme kissed... it was like watching SAVED BY THE BELL cause everyone was just making that "OoooOoOO" noise. Gotta love those big crowds. :) *good times*

:) I am a GENIUS! If you scroll down just a bit, you'll see my newest handiwork. :) Yep.. cut and pasted that baby onto the template all by myself. Even changed the colors too. (cue everyone: "AHHHHHHH") So give it some love and write things on it... you know.. "nicole is the hottest chick... I wanna love her ALL NIGHT LONG," "LOL! that was a funny blog nicole... this is why I stalk you" and so on... that would be so cool. Random comments would be nice too... just as long as it isn't mean, gross, or anything of the sort. :) THANKS!!

Carlene and I were saying the other day that we think that our older cousins probably think we're crazy. Really... they probably do. I mean, at the party, we were all up on the dancefloor being outrageously dorky (or cool as we would like to think) and I guess since we really don't see each other much it's probably just werid to see us in that light since when we were growing up we were the quiet, complacent girls who were always playing the piano.

But its the same with us.. when we see our younger cousins looking completely different. They're little people. They have PERSONALITIES. They have their own lives... its really a shock. Like one of our family friends, Stephanie was there. Last time I saw her, I think she was about 10... still a little girl. The other night... she was all dalaga and dancing with her dad on the dance floor looking bored out of her mind. Its all very amusing. Or like another family friend.. Ronald. We always made fun of him and Angel cause we think that those 2 should get promised to each other already because they would just look "cute." Not to mention it would be the greatest COSCA marriage ever and would please the families immensely... but everytime I think of Ronald.. see this short kid just hanging out and playing with the others.... but last time I saw him.. he was TALL. And had facial hair. Yeah.. I think that when you see a kid you knew grow up and have FACIAL HAIR.. its a big slap to your wrinkled and AGING face.

I guess that since I rarely see those kids... its just a real shock. Its only on occasion like at weddings and such. Back in the day.. there was always some kind of COSCA event or family party that mom and dad would drag us too. Now... going to those kinds of family parties are seldom cause I don't hear about them from my dad or keep in touch with what the happenings are. Its kinda sad....

Well thank God for those COSCA christmas parties. :) I always hear about those.

BTW... Beth got me MARY KATE AND ASHELY eyeshadow! I KNOW YOU'RE SOOO JEALOUS!! ;) hahahah... she's too cute. We were watching ZOOLANDER over there earlier tonight... :) I'm currently developing a crush on Ben Stiller. He's got that whole adorable cute dorky thing going for him... especially when he does "BLUE ICE."

There has got to be more to life than just being really, really, really, ridiculously good-looking.

Yeah... ya'll need to see that movie. Its seriously one of my favorites now.... Come on over! :) We can have a blockbuster night! ORANGE MOCHA FRAPACHINO!!

A GREAT BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KATHY!! :) I'm gonna call up KOST and dedicate "Somewhere Out There" for you... or would you prefer a thug-love song by JaRule? :) *muah*

Mother's day was really nice... even though it started pretty late due to the fact that my mom went to Havasu for the weekend and didn't get home until 6pm on Sunday. Before 6.. I was circling Ontario Airport like 10 times looking for Joe and Ryan (damn that whole no curbside parking rule!).. we dropped off Ryan over at Claremont and then Joe drove me home... where he was chatting (aka being questioned) with Carlene and Mom on the purpose of his trip. They think that it was a whole weekend of workshops on Ego Building since Joe said he was learning about himself. Also... for a while we reenacted all the good parts from the movie ZOOLANDER. What IS this? A CENTER FOR ANTS??? ;)

Well, Carlene and I didn't feel like cooking, so we drove off with the intention of getting some hawaiian food... but realized that the place was closed already... so we just got some WICKED thai food, bought OCEANS 11 on DVD, got some Ice Cream.. and TA DA! Mother's Day Dinner! It was sweet.... all 3 of us curling on the couch drooling over Brad Pitt eating. (talk about your oral fixations) I've mentioned before that when I watch TV with Mom, she asks a lot of questions... well she's seen this movie before when it first came out... (at least I think so) and she seriously had forgotten the whoooole thing. So now Carlene and I are convinced that she probably "watched" the movie... but wasn't really watching... you know what I mean? *winky winky* Actually.. I don't.

I had the bestest day today.... sure I'm tired as fuck... but it was a great day!! :)

So, woke up bright and early and it was off to Costa Mesa to decorate for a wedding at the Wyndham. :) MY FIRST WEDDING JOB! It was really neat (except for the whole manual labor of dragging colums and polls to the ballroom... oh wells) I got to play with the stairway... decorating it with drapes and ribbons... and then got to decorate the wedding cake area with some trees and twinkle lights. But the really cool thing about decorating was that they decorated the dance floor area with some drapery and lights... and it was soooo freaking nice. The drapery and lights were coming down from the ceiling and gathered at the 4 corners of the dance floor atop of these colums... it was definitely WOW.

Afterwards, went to Carlene's to get ready.. and together we went to Huntington Beach for the Annivesary. :) Yeah... I LOVE MY FAMILY. :) We are the silliest group of people... Tito Romy was pretty drunk by the time we got there... and that was the cause of a lot of the sillyness... I'll elaborate soon.

There were just a lot of moments that made tonight awesome... but overall I think its because I was surrounded by the people I love. :) *awwww*

While Jen, Angel, Carlene, and I were manning the reception table... Dad is introducing us to John... telling us that he is nanang's caretaker over at the convalesant hospital etc etc etc. So we all say hi and shake his hand... do the polite thing... and then they leave and go off to mingle with everyone else. Angel and I look at each other cause there was something VERY amiss with this John guy. Carlene and Jen go on like whatevers... but Angel and I just stare at each other with this goofy, questioning look on our faces... and then Angel says it. "WAS THAT A MAN OR WOMAN?!?!" This John guy was wearing a girly cardigan.. heels... and his shoulder length hair was flipped out a la farrah fawcet. Well anyways, I start laughing cause that was what I was thinking at that moment and we were just on the same mind frame. Carlene and Jen noticed but really didn't think about it. :) It was very weird...

Tito Romy and Tita Lagring renewed their vows. But like I mentioned earlier.. Tito Romy was pretty smashed. It was hilarious though... Tito Romy was being his crazy self... cursing and slurring about what was written in thr program as their vows... and then finally he just said... "I LOVE YOU!! THATS IT!!" It was very cute... at times we didn't even have to clink the glasses cause they were just always giving each other little kisses.

*the toast*
Dad: Back then, Romeo was young... he was tall...
Tito Romy: I WAS HANSOME!!

During dinner.. everyone's head popped up when we hear Tito Romy grab the microphone from the band and starts crooning "Dahil Sa Iyo" to Tita Lagring. :) So cute!!

The band was ok... played the usual filipino party mix of chacha/swing/disco/weird old slow songs... They even played "Sha-la-la-la-la-la (which made me smile like crazy... not to mention clap along!) But then they completely FUCKED UP when they jacked up the sound system when Carlene was singing. Jen, Angel, and myself said that we would go rumble with them after the night was over to get our revenge. But other than that.. it was a lot of fun just dancing with my cousins... being extremely silly and dorky in front of EVERYONE. At one point, JR and Jen were C-walking to "Lets Twist Again" and "Footloose." It was so great... Jen kept on going in the middle of the dance circle where a good majority of the aunties and uncles were and would just keep on getting all freaky (carmen electra booty shake!)... she busted some of her hula moves. Jr was going off on his lawnmower dance... and Carlene kept on trying to make the robot look cool. ;) Dad was even being the dancing machine out there... he was spinning me around like crazy during the swing... but it was all so much fun! Jen was very intent on getting the dancefloor completely packed.. so she requested the MACARENA. SO the band played it and we all ran out like retard girls and started dancing to it. And yeah.. more people came... and then the band (who only sang that ONE line over and over and over and over and over again.) would just gradually play and sing faster and faster until finally it was like the MACARENA OF DEATH. Ok.. thats a bit much.. but it felt like it. It was line dancing heaven... Achy Breaky Heart and TogoTogo were very popular amongst the Titas and some Titos.

Tita Fe did the flowers again.. and I'm sad to say but the girl I work for isn't half as talented as Tita Fe is with fresh flowers. The whole ballroom was absolutely beautiful and everyone was fighting for the centerpieces. Tita Norma basically claimed it at our table... none of us didn't even stand a chance. ;)

The whole night was just awesome. So many family and friends... one aunt even came from the Philippines... several came down from Canada... so it was of seeing faces I haven't seen in a while. And it was all for a terriffic cause... Bombie and Michelle totally rock the house for throwing this for Tita and Tito... they really do deserve it all.

Anyways... HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the Moms out there... I doubt that there are moms that read this though... well... then tell your Moms that Nicole says "Happy Mother's Day!!" :)

OH! HAPPY BIRTHDAY NES!! :) You TOTALLY missed the open bar!

Saturday, May 11, 2002

So as you can see... theres a whole new look. :) ITS NOT SO PINK! Anyways, Carlene did it for me... cause you know.. I'm computer retarded and I can't pull something like this off. Type.. yes. Cut and paste... yes. Make up new template thingamajig... no. :) Yeah.. my sister rocks!!

Anyways, had a good day today... didn't have to wake up to hear Joe throwing rocks at my window again since he accidently slept in. He finally made it here in time and we rushed off to the airport where he was off for DOTC. I drove back with his precious car. *Kristen* (Yeah. He named it.) So I'm car-sitting for him this weekend... uh oh... where can I go with a car that's not mine to worry about... Hmmmmm... Vegas anyone??

Just kidding. Joe. Stop crying.

Anyways, came home and made up for the "sleeping in" I didn't get to have.. and then chatted a bit with Carlene. I sent her some pictures (narcisstic me went crazy on the webcam!) and seriously 5 minutes later she had this ready. Insane I tell you. Have I mentioned that she rocks?

Dragged myself away from the geekbox and drove down to Pasadena to meet with Carrie so we can talk about CKI South. I had a really really good time talking with her.. it was like old times. Yeah... :) I guess we were just really catching up with each others lives cause after Cheesecake, we almost got locked in at Tapioca Express, walked over to Paseo and chatted outside over there. It was really awesome. :)

I gotta go get some sleep... but have to finish some things before... get Carlene's tapes and such ready as well as pack shoes and essential beauty items for tomorrow (tonight) night's shindig. So... nightynight! :)

Friday, May 10, 2002

oh my gosh... my sister TOTALLY rocks the house!! :) THANKS CARLENE!! :) You're the bestest bestest!

Tired... how can one day be so draining?

Well woke up bright and early to go to my first day of WORK! :) It was pretty cool.... so there are some clarifications on what the job description is exactly. Basically, its a small wedding design company... they do all the decorations (pillars, drapery, lighting, flowers, etc) for weddings. So today it was more of a familiarizing myself with the warehouse and the different tools and such. And yeah, basically I'm going to be her (Brandi.. the designer) assistant... I even have a wedding this Saturday. Its so exciting... tomorrow i get to work with flowers! :) yaay...

Anways, afterwards, raced to class, came home and napped a bit... and then it was off to Borders (the spankin brand new one next door!) to get some studying done.

And now I'm beat.... but I can't sleep just yet cause I dunno... perhaps I'm wack like that.

Dad called today. I told him I had gotten a job and I was really excited. But he didn't seem too happy. He said that he was happy for me, but then would continue and say "but..." I could tell that he wasn't all too excited and probably was bored with the conversation. In those 2 minutes I dunno... eh. There I was... smiling, happy, enthusiastic and there he was... just there. It was competely opposite from Mom's reaction when I told her... her voice got all high pitched and she said the sweetest thing.. "They're lucky to have you." That made me feel so good but after talking to dad... Forget it...

Moving on...

Its technically thusday cause its like 2am... so yay thursday. So work, class, maybe play in the lab, and then its time to go CLUBBIN! ;) After this past week.. i think I really just need to get out. Yeah I went out last weekend... but I dunno... this week has been pretty eh (despite getting the whole job thing) but you know what I mean? Maybe you don't... but yeah... just feel like I've been going slightly insane this week. Ack.

:/ I just flooded the garage. I forgot to switch the pipes for the washing machine and the water softner thingie and I was doing my laundry... and so it flooded. I'M A DUMBASS... I even wrote myself a threating note and posted it on the wall to remind me to switch it. Ehhh.... But at least I caught it in time and was wrestling with the hose... so only like 3/4 of the water escaped. ;)

Oh a brighter note... I GOT THE JOB! :) Very very excited.. I start tomorrow morning. Whooohooo! Its going to be like "A WEDDING STORY" 24/7!!

what type of internet face are you?
.

I downloaded this song "NO GREATER LOVE" by Rachel Lampa that makes me feel all warm, gushy, and romantic. It has this really pretty piano accompany and the lyrics are just gorgeous.

Before I knew Your name
You knew my every breath
Before I found my way
You knew my every step
Before I knew everything that I need
You gave it all to me
No greater love than this
That You should lay down Your life
For someone such as me
I'd spend a lifetime wondering why
The beauty of heaven is here in my heart
And I know there can be no greater love...
than this

Its actually a Christian song, but it can be used for romantic purposes.. :) But yeah... everytime I hear this song... I get this glazed look over my eyes and stare at my phone in hopes that HE will call. *HE not being anyone in particular... just the whole idea of the whole "Prince Charming coming to wisk me off my feet" thing.*

And then O-town's WE FIT TOGETHER plays and ruins the whole moment. You really can't get all too dreamy with

I want to go all night
Aint no stop till the break of the dawn.
I wanna go inside every corner,
Girl you really turn me on.
I wanna go knock knock
Our bodies to the beat
and when the morning comes,
We'll let in the sunshine
Stay in bed,
Can't seperate us cause
We fit together"

It's not the kind of song that would make me swoon if some guy were to sing it for me. It is a nice song... but not really that will give your the warm fuzzies. Warm fuzzy songs would be stuff you play at weddings. Babyface... Atlantic Starr... Surface...you know... everything that was on your 8th SLOW JAMS tape and stuff that you know that if a guy would serenade you with, you'd melt and allow him to have his kinky way with you. O-Town's WE FIT TOGETHER isn't one of them. Any song by LFO wouldn't be one either.

wow.. if I had a dollar for everytime I heard this...

jeanyah: if you loved me
jeanyah: you'd put out

*taken out of context of course*

So for a while, I was heart broken cause I found this link http://www.lovecalculator.com/ and I put my name and my crush's name in it... and got this REALLY REALLY low percentage. SO then I put in an old crush's name... and once again... a really low percentage. And then another guy's name... and what do you know.. a low score. So I'm getting a bit freaked cause thats 3 guys... and 3 low scores. SO then I just started randomly putting in my guy friends names and I was gettting the same results. (At least, I was watching "Little Women" earlier tonight and I put in Theodore Lawrence (Laurie/Teddy) and I got a whopping 94%. I don't know what that means considering that the guy is FICTION but at least its the ONLY ranking over 60% so far.) Dammit dammit dammit. So I'm pretty much convinced that my name is CURSED and not meant for love. Beth is convinced that I'm a lesbian since my name ranks high with other girl names... but NO. I'll just change my name.

*lunch with mom*
Mom: Don't get married. You have to share things.
Carlene: Isn't that the meaning marriage and family?
Mom: Always dealing with their wants.. their needs...
Nicole: well sorry for the... "changing the diapers... feeding them milk..."
Mom: I used to leave you in the crib with a six pack of milk.. when I'd come back.. you'd be swimming.

Mom: I can sell the house in 2 years and get some money in return
Nicole: What!? You wanna move in 2 years?!
Carlene: We just moved! I don't want to move again!
Nicole: I wanted a place to bring my kids
Carlene: You're going to have kids in 2 years?
Nicole: NO.. I'm just saying... I want a place to bring my kids for mom to neglect.

Mom: When I'm old... put me in a retirement home thats over-looking a beach
Nicole: How about we put you in a home that has a picture of a beach on the wall?
Mom: Thats ok... and then put a tape of that "shhhHHh" beach noise in the backround.
awwwww... I'd never do that to mom. :) She's so hilarious.

:) Today I planted flowers out in the back. It was a lot of fun getting down and dirty there. Haven't done that in a while... not since Carlene and I were really young and helping dad with his planting in the backyard in San Dimas. I have no idea what flowers I planted.. mom just pointed to them and said "put them in the dirt" so I got my little shovel and gloves and got to it... but they are happy now in the ground with the dirt and the worms.. yay! If I end up alone (GOOD LORD NO!!).. at least I'll have my flowers. (well.. not sure yet... need to see if they survive. My mom has this really bad track record with live plants...so cross your fingers) and if the flowers are sad and pathetic... then at least I'll have a doggie.

Who Da Manny: hed be so fucked

Its been an interesting couple of days... Thursday night, watched those crazy Cal Poly Pomona kids slip and slide on the ice rink playing broomball. Friday morning, had my interview *oh pretty pretty pretty please!* (I should be find out about it by the end of this week, but she did say that I had good chances... so maybe thats a good thing.), came home and napped, and then went over to Beth's to go over to Hollywood for Ryan's Graduation Dinner. :) So we all met up again over at Hollywood and Highland for dinner at the CPK... we had a very bitchy waitor for some odd reason... I think he spat into Kenny's hotwater. After dinner, it just got really weird. Jean and Mike arrived... (no thats not the weird part), we took some pictures over at Graumann, and then tried to figure out where we were gonna go. Well... Joe, Luc, Lorraine, and myself ended up the Grove right next to the Farmers Market and CBS by ourselves and confused as to where everyone else was... so since we had our parking tickets and had driven all the way over there... we figured we would just watch a movie. So we watched "Amelie" which was a really sweet and awesome movie. Afterwards, kinda got stuck in the mass of cars along Sunset... dropped Luc home.. and belted THE GREATEST LOVE OF ALL with Lorraine while driving her home. :) Danced in the sprinklers. *twice* (not exactly a good thing)

Today... hmmmm... I basically was your homebody today... cleaning and vegging in front of the telly with mom. Mom was glued... she's just excited cause she got a new cable box today that allows her to watch HBO.... *you know what that means... SOFT PORN! I'm kidding.. really!* Mom basically got it so that she can catch up on SIX FEET UNDER... :) she's a bit crazy. Like we'll be sitting there, watching some movie that we just tuned into and she'll ask me whats going on.. who's who... and I'll just get frustrated cause I have NO idea and wonder why she would think I know something. She does this ALL THE TIME. We'll tune into Felicity at the same EXACT moment and she'll turn to me and say "what happend!!?" and I'll say "shhh!! I'm trying to figure it out!" Crazy crazy mom...

Oh! Also today, I got a free ticket from Southwest in the mail! :) Yaay!! I really haven't been keeping track of my rapid reward point thingies.. so it was a real shock. Only now I don't know where I'm gonna go with it... Florida for ICON or NY with Mom and Carlene for Mom's reunion thingie. Hmmmmmm... what to do....

Yay! I have a job interview tomorrow to be an assistant to a wedding planner in Corona. :) I really REALLY hope to get it... I wouldn't mind waking up early and giving up some of my Saturday mornings for it. Soooo.. cross your pretty little fingers! Hehehe, if I do get it... I predict that I'll probably be a tad bit more romantic wishy washy... just a tad.

So, if you didn't know or if I didn't pester you, it was free Baskin Robbins day yesterday! Yay free ice cream! :) Last night was kind of an adventure. I met up with Lorraine and Steph H at 9pm and there was only an hour to go for free ice cream... so we raced to the store in La Verne... got it! We waited for Beth... and raced to San Dimas... got it! by then it was 9:45... so we RACED to Glendora and made it at 9:52... but those bastards were already closing and denying the families pounding on the windows outside what they wanted. Oh wells. Next year... a social will be planned.. a map will be drawned and highlighted.. and in the 4 hours of free ice cream madness.. we will tour the LA area. OH.. and we're going to bring a pile of tupperware and an icebox to store the scoops cause thats going to be a lot of ice cream. ;) Anyone interested?

Well, Nicole is infactuated with this guy... and she doesn't know what to do. (just like with every guy she has had a crush on in the past...) Funny thing cause I told Melissa and Jean just to go all out with their crushes. "Lay the smack down." (weirdness.. I'm on the same mind-frame with Melissa's friend Val who used the same dorky phrasing)... just go up to the person, make a move, and if they don't like it... then oh well. Its rejection, but on the bright side.. you got what you wanted for that brief moment. (Lets reread that sentance... could I SOUND anymore like a rapist? Oh lord.) Anyways... theres NO way I'd be able to pull that stunt off.. hahaha.. oh hell no.

NO Manny... I am not crazy! I am just fine. ;P

OH.. Can I say that having someone scream your name and throw rocks outside your window isn't as romantic as I thought it would be. Sure.. it was just Joe delivering a letter for me to mail for him, but still... maybe if it wasn't at freaking 7AM in the morning... while I was in a middle of a good dream....oh good gracious.
