I've said it once, I'll say it again... the elevators in Humanities are a deathtrap. I swear, everytime I get off of them, I fight the urge to get on my knees and kiss the floor as the door finally opens. Today, there only 3 of us in it and the whole thing just started shaking and creeking like crazy and I immediately grasped the sides waiting for the evil box to plummet to the ground, but nope.. all went well. When I got off, my fellow passengers got off as well and decided to use the stairs.

During my break today I decided to be impulsive and cut my hair. It turned out alright but I was a lil bit freaked cause the girl was being overly cautious about the whole procedure. (I guess its better to be OVERLY cautious rather than not cautious at all huh?) I dunno, she acted like it was her first time holding the scissors or something... But she was really friendly and wasn't all too pushy about having me buy products in order to maintain the perfect style... and most of all.. she didn't leave me with a horriffic bowl cut that would leave me in cowering in the dark for the next few months. It came out pretty well!! YAY!

my 3:
1) I'm grateful that Carrie FINALLY updated her blogger!!! YAY!! she sooo gets a sticker!!
2) I'm grateful that this day-quill is finally kicking in!!
3) I'm grateful that I had a good day at school.. and that the valet people didn't jack up my parking break last time where I had to hit that baby with my book... it came out alright!! =)

STC went pretty well... at least I think so. =) And to think I was stressing out over it...

It all started Friday afternoon... I met up with Carrie at SMART AND FINAL to go grocery shopping for STC.... it only took about 30 mins and afterward came home to drop the giant bags of salad in my fridge. Then we went to the ghetto WALMART to buy some candy for our workshops and some other girly stuff. We later then met up with Beth for dinner at Chilis and came back to my place to finish any last minute things we had to do. Joe and Mike came over to help/kick it... and around 2am.. Beth and I start to freak out... SOOOO we decide to take Joe and go to the 24 hour Walmart (non ghetto) were we pretty much find everything we need (including a $5 trashcan for the sodas!!) We get back around just in time for PIc to arrive and a lil nap before leaving to go to CSUF.

Wake up, take a shower, and turn into mini dictator to make sure we get to school on time. Get to school, put up signs, prepare, prepare, freak out, blow my nose, cough, consume cough drops, and sit at the table and welcome latecomers as opening session starts. 11pm rolls around and Jean and I drive over to the Pizza Hut to pick up the food (had the HARDEST time finding the place.... I swear!! I thought I was going crazy and there was no such thing as a Pizza Hut on Commonwealth... we had to call the place SEVERAL times to finally get it right. ) Steal a bunch of cheese and peppers (which no one ate.. but oh well) and then come back to school were i get to drive onto campus and pull up right next to McCarthy Hall (which is REALLY freaky... hellllooooo.. I'm driving on the sidewalk!) and everyone eats!! (YAY!!)

Clean up and shove anything thats left into the $5 trash can, which I dragged into the building with me. I had my workshop which was really fun despite not having as many people as I thought show up and learned some new games as well as taught them. I'm just really proud that I got my people in my workshop to kiss each other (hehehehe... it was AWESOME!!) because it was that ice breaker that I was afraid that no one would get into. But YAY!! It worked!!

Anyhoo, Carrie, Beth, Pic, and Manny came over after the whole thing and we all pretty much crashed. Poor Ryan came over to kick it, but everyone was so out that we didn't hear him knocking or ringing the doorbell. We finally wake up (well Pic, Beth, Manny and I) and play 10 fingers cause I dunno... we just did. We were bored??

My mom got back this morning from her ROAD RULES with her homies. One of her college frieinds bought a Winnabago and they drove off to Havasu for the weekend... None of the kids went this time and I bet they probably had more fun this time. =) When I called my mom just to check up on her, she was happily bragging that she was learning how to JET SKI. =D hehehehhe.. shes too cool.

the LIST!
1) I'm grateful for everyone who helped out this weekend... Christina for helping get the tables and telling me that driving my car on the sidewalk was ok; Jean for coming with me get the Pizza and finding the place; Beth for her last minute realization "LETS GO TO WALMART",and buying ice; Carrie and Mike for making sure I'm sane and for helping out with the signs and everyone else who just supported me... THANK YOU!! =) *muah*
2) I'm grateful that I was able to get the apartment clean before my mom got back....
3) I'm grateful for Carrie for giving me that DAY QUIL!!! YAY!!! Its working!!

*sigh* still sick. I swear.. this SUCKS!!! I took my last 24 hour sudafed around 3ish.. so I should be fine until 3 tomorrow... EEK!! my throat feels icky and I'm still hacking away, but I'm scared to drink tea cause Narleen said its going to damage my voice and all... what a pickle huh. At least I have a brand new pack of cough drops and a new book was delivered today so I'll be pretty much content for the next few days...

had the most hilarious conversation with beth on the phone while on the shuttle... normally I would complain and bitch about how i think people who talk on the shuttle cause they are sooo irritating...and I think I ranked up there. So... we are talking about HALLMARK commericals and how they make us cry. The other day, in my ad class, the gray pupon man showed us some really effective ad campaigns and one of them was HALLMARK. And there was this one commerical with the one lady in her 30s getting ready to leave work early. Her co-worker askes her why shes so eager to leave.. and she responds that her brother is finally moving out. The co-worker then talks about how he remembers moving out when he was 18.. and askes how old her brother is and she replys "29." SOOOO.. the next scene is when she goes to her brothers apartment and we learn that he is mentally retarded... and he's sooo cute and excited that she there to visit him and hes giving her a tour of his place right?? And then they sit down for dinner and she gives him a hallmark card that say.. "IM PROUD OF YOU" and then he looks back at her and says...
"I'm proud of you too!!" *AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW* I swear, In class, you can hear all the girls sniffing away.... So i'm telling Beth about this commerical in the tram and I can feel myself tearing up and THEN she tells me about this other Hallmark commerical where there is this woman who is getting mail from her mailman and they look accross the street to see this lonely lady go check her mail only to find nothing.... so the lady feels bad and sends her son over with a hallmark card. Then the son comes back with a jar of jam and he says that the old lady was really happy and she had tears in her eyes!!! *AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW* So now I'm pretty much bawling in the shuttle but luckily theres only abour 7 other folks in there. *sigh*

hmmmm.... the LIST.
1) I'm grateful for my mom for making me some clam chowder soup and making me feel better.
2) I'm grateful for my boss for not going balistic on me when I made a cashiering mistake today. OOPS! =)
3) I'm grateful everyone wanting to kick ass for me... Jr imed me the other day to see if I was alright cause he read my blogger... and Beth and Carrie always calling me making she if I'm alright... and everyone!!! AWWWWW... *muah* thank you!!! =)

Today was not the best of days... nor was it the worse.

The bad.... lets just say that I'm not too happy about stuff. Basically, I found out some thing that pretty much shook my confidence within myself. Its hard to find out that what you though was your support isn't really what you think it was. I don't understand how someone can plan and revel my downfall when I haven't even taken the first step. I can't explain it....I'm just really hurt.

AND I'm still sick... (ewww)

But at least I had some UPs to make me feel better. Joe came to the meeting today and really helped me through the crap. Afterwards, Mike met up with us we made some signs for STC. In my ad class... got to meet the guy who came up with the Gray Pupon commericals (Pardon me sir... do you have any Gray Pupon?) and he was a really awesome speaker. He got my mind turning in what I really want to do my future. I finished "DIVINE SECRETS OF THE YA-YA SISTERHOOD" which was an AWESOME book and had me crying again last night. So yeah... although it started pretty icky... it got better.

I wish I had an idea of what is going on.

Grateful things... the usual.
1) I'm grateful that my group knows somewhat what we are doing for our project in Ad Writing. =) Some groups have NO idea and theres only 2 weeks left!!!
2) I'm grateful that Keri is thinking about becoming the Membership chair!!!! YAY!! YOU'LL BE AWESOME
3) I'm grateful that I dont have to deal with a certain evil person anymore... at least I hope so.

=) Fun weekend.

Friday, was a bad girl and played hookey from work. Instead, Beth picked me up and we drove over to Carries... and OFF TO THE OUTLETS with a goal of spending OBSCENE AMOUNTS OF MONEY. =) (ok.. not too obscene, just semi obscene) But poor Carrie was feeling ICKY after we went to ESPRIT. =( At least she was able to get a new suit there, purse, and shoes before she fell ill. =D

You know whats weird... there's a new Cal State.... CAL STATE CHANNEL ISLANDS?? There was a sign for it on the way to Camarillo... CSUCI?? Its located in VENTURA COUNTY... the VALLEY...how can it be an ISLAND?? I dunno... its weird.... AND on the way back, Beth and I were looking for the sign again to take a picture of it but *dum dum dum* nooo sign!! ERRIE huh... My theory is that CSUCI is the new Atlantis... it comes and goes and only a lucky few see it. WIERD!!

Anyhoo.. after our shopping excursion, Carrie (feeling better after many tylenol and a lil nap) and I go over to KIWINS convention and let me say... I FEEL OLD.. OH I FEEL SO OLD!!! It was awesome being there and all, but dude... I'm old!! It was soo cute though, the SL girls, for their business attires, all wore their dress uniforms!! Anyhoo, other than feeling ANCIENT.... we SAAed for the night, which was really REALLY boring. (sitting watching the door on friday night... and sitting and watching the all on saturday night. yay. ) But after all that, all the CKIers just chilled in the lobby of the hotel and that was pretty fun.

Saturday afternoon, Carrie, Beth, Joe and I were supposed to do the salsa workshop... and CHAOS ENSUED. They discovered that we werent professional (duh) and just went crazy. Sooo.. what we did was pump up the music and let them do their own thing for that LONGEST HOUR EVER!!

In between that and SAAing for that evening, us gals went over to the CRAP-O-RAMA mall and watched BRIDGET JONES (yes again... but COLIN FIRTH IS SOOOOOOOO DREAMY!! GRRRRRR! Its even better a second time around!) And when we get back to the hotel, Nicole has a really bad headache and konks out in the lounge When I wake up its time to SAA again. (yay.) OH... NOTE TO GUYS EVERYWHERE... DO NOT EVER WEAR ACOWBOY HAT WITH ZEBRA PRINT!!! THAT IS SOOOOO A NO NO!!! After SAAing, we go back to the lobby and play BATTLE OF THE SEXES CRANIUM; Beth, Carrie, and I versus Manny, Mike, Joe, and Ryan... We lost. =( (UGH... EVERYONE WAS REALLY TIRED AND DAMN THOSE CLUB CRANIUMS!!! ) Then it was off to Denny's and back to Carries for sleep.

Sunday afternoon, woke up and met up with Joe for lunch. After we went back to Carries for more sleep. Then Beth brought me home and I cleaned.

That was pretty much my weekend. =) Not all too wicked and wild... I'm sick now. =( Carrie and Beth were pretty ill during the weekend and I guess I caught whatever from them.

grateful things
1) I've said it once, I'll say it again... I'm soooo grateful for my friends who believe in me. It all means a lot of me and I don't know where I would be without you guys. *MUAH*
2) I'm grateful for Beth, who accidently left her box of tissue here... that box is now my best friend and is constantly at my side.
3) I'm grateful for 24 hour Sudafed... although I'm not all too sure that its working since I'm still feeling crap-tacular. But maybe it IS working and if I weren't taking it, Id feel 100 time worse... OH well... its better to think happy thoughts. =)

Yesterday was one of those exciting spontaneous days. =) Started off by going to school and helping out at our recruitment table. It was fun... BUT hella intimidating. The thing with tabling and trying to pass out fliers is that we're setting ourselves up for rejection. Keri and I had this goal of finding cute guys to join the club... but 1) cute guys were sparse and 2) once we didn find some.. we didn't talk to them cause helllloooo... cute guy and fear of rejection. So we kinda slowly approched him and handed them a flier without trying to look TOO EAGER. Oh well, can't say we didn't try.

Carrie, Beth, and Mike came down to help out and afterwards went down to Fashion Island for some lunch. Since that shopping center is REALLY REALLY ritzy, Beth and I adopted the names Buffy and Muffy and talked about our make believe chateaus in France to make ourselves worthy of shopping there. Mike and Carrie probably thought we were psychospaths for chatting about "how hard it is to find good help these days"... oh well... it was fun! I completely fell in love with the puppies at the pet store (soooooooo adorable) I wanted to take one home with me, but you can't get one for $30 and the cute thing was too big to fit into my purse. Beth wanted a bunny and proceeded to walk out of the store twitching her nose like one and acting bunny-like. Once again, Carrie and Mike slowed their pace and pretended to not know us. =P

Later, on a whim, we decided to go to Balboa Island for some ice cream and just to kick it at the beach. Then we took the ferry over to Newport Beach and played skeeball. (I SWEAR ITS ADDICTING!) Got some cheesy prizes (jumping plastic frogs) as momentos of our outting.

We resisted the temptation to get tatoos (maybe next time?) and came back to CSUF cause Mike had to go back and study for his midterms (eek!). So now its Beth, Carrie, and I left. Drove over to TGIF for some din din and stopped by a cruddy Marshalls (didnt need to buy anything though cause we're going to the outlets tomorrow! whoo!). Dinner was fun and we realized the irony of EVERTHING!! =) Afterwards we went to see "Josie and the Pussycats" which Carrie didn't like but Beth and I thought was cute. I was just enthralled with the ad placements... it was really clever!

Came home and slept.

Now I'm at work and I haven't messed up any accounts so far today!!! =) YAY!! (but I still have 20 mins here... *cross fingers!*) Things are slow, so I'm here at the geekbox blogging. =)

as usual...
1) I'm grateful for good parking yesterday and today. =)
2) I'm grateful that I finally got ball in the lil hole toy thingie at the discovery store... I swear.. I was a dork there NOT being able to get it. But.. YAY! I did!
3) I'm grateful for "good times" =) *If you're happy and you know it...*

Tuesday, April 17, 2001

Ok. Nicole has a new favorite movie to add to "Singing in the Rain," "Indiana Jones, and the Temple of Doom", and pretty much every Mel Brooks movie out there. Bridget Jones was AWESOME!! Mr. Darcy, you have captured my heart again. *sigh*

Sunday morning, met up with Bryan and Stephanie for the Brea Kiwanis Easter Egg hunt. Yes, it was extremely early (6 am!) but hey… free krispy kremes and coffee! Kiwanis was really smart for their hunt because they used plastic eggs AND they had us litter the field with a blanket of candy. It looked like a battlescene from Braveheart. Children lined the edge of the park with this bloodthirsty need for sugar in their eyes. And suddenly they were off - with parents cheering and telling them were to get the eggs. Once the park was clean, the kids lined up to receive their chocolate bunnies. It was my duty to stamp their hands and I swear, 6 out of every 10 would viciously rub their nose or something and then give me their hand to stamp. EWWWWWW… but still, they were all adorable.

That afternoon, mom and I went to the mall because mom was on this mission to find he perfect white cardigan. Ok, so we came home with a crepe pan, crepe mix, shoes, and a beige cardigan, but the white one was discovered eventually before we left. Got home in time to find Pic and Carrie getting ready for the UCR banquet. (my sister let them in…=D) Got to chat with them a good… 30 mins or so before they left.

Carrie came back later that night and we went over to Downtown Disney to go salsa clubbing, but Joe was hungry, so we went to Rainforest instead with his friend Jen from Washington and Salamanca and pals. It was cool just hanging out in that oh so wicked jungle atmosphere. Our waitor was something though… really weird. He screamed "YOU NEED KETCHUP" at me when he saw my naked french fries…. And he gave Joe this really look for dancing like Michael Jackson in the restaurant. Oh well… Everyone was tuckered out so there was no salsa-ing. Maybe next time??

Sunday morning, was 10 minutes late for mass and severely punished. We had to park over in the boonies of the school next to St Paul's and had to stand waaaaaaay in the sardine packed front corridor of the church. We slowly inched our way up and now are standing next to the holy water fountain. Carrie (who my mom adopted for the weekend) is trying to turn off her cellie when I hear a "clang clang clang SPLASH" and a "gasp" from the folks surrounding us. Carrie's phone has been baptized and shes on the ground fishing it out. Poor thing… at least its blessed now. =) There was this cutest lil girl (probably around 2) who just went up to a lil boy her age and kissed him. It was soo cute and innocent… but I bet her family will never let her forget about it. "Remember that Easter when you started macking down with that strange boy in church?" It will be an embarrassing moment that will probably live in infamy even if she doesn’t remember.

Tita Bambot, Chelle, and Melissa came over for lunch and eventually Joe, whom is probably just using our friendship to get to my mom's cooking. Ok, just gotta say that I've been living in Pomona for 4 months now and he's been over many times, but silly Joe went over to my old place in Chino Hills….he's a dork. =) Anyhoo, back to Easter, we veged in front of the telly and basically quoted lines from movies the whole day. Suprisingly enough, we didn’t bust out with the karaoke!! =)

Later that evening went over to my dad's… but traffic was crappy and I had a midterm on Monday, so I really didn’t stay long. Got to see some of the cousins for a moment and then came home to hit the books.

Test was CAKE. =)

I am grateful for…
1) A really good Easter. I don't think I've had a EXTREMELY HAPPY EASTER for the past years. And this was just really great… it was special. =)
2) Knowing my stuff for my midterm. =) Also, for the guy who lent me a pencil…
3) For finding my car…. I totally lost it yesterday and was wandering the parking lot for 30 mins!!

Friday, April 13, 2001

Today was a beautiful day! It was bright and sunny, and everyone was oh so happy!! =) When I took my break, I seriously could smell the flowers outside. Work was laid back, my supervisor brought in her waffle iron and mixed us up a batch of strawberries and waffles!! It was delicious... I thought that when she told me that she was going to bring waffles on friday, she'd bring a box of eggos and a toster. But to actually make it from scratch!!?!? Wowie.... =)

To add to my happy day, I got off of work early (YAY) and then took baby to get a car wash (DOUBLE YAY!) It was getting pretty dirty... Carlene said that it didn't even look black anymore, more like an shady gray. But now its all clean and has that new car scent thanks to the spiffy air freshner at the car wash.

Now, I'm just waiting for Carlene to come home.. and then Mom, Carlene, and I are going to watch BRIDGET JONES!! (TRIPLE YAY!) I swear, I've been waiting for this movie to come out for the longest time. If you haven't read the book yet.. you really really should! Even guys... its hilarious.... I'd lend my own copy out, but my sister hasn't finished it yet. =( But still... gooooo read... or watch the movie..... its has Colin Firth!!

Since I probably won't be able to blog until after Easter... HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!! =) Also, instead of writing my usual grateful things.... here are lyrics to an inspiring song that I feel is appropraite for the holiday. Its from Jaci Valascuez, who is a really awesome Christian singer and its one of my favorite songs from her. =)

Flower in the Rain

You are the One; there's no one else
Who lifts me up
And gives me water from the well
But there's a hole
That seems to drain it all away
And once again I'm left in fear and doubt
When all my strength is crying out

So here I am again
Willing to be opened up and broken like a flower in the rain
Tell me what have I to do
To die and then be raised
To reach beyond the pain
Like a flower in the rain

The evil wind, it blows a storm
To rock my world
Just when I think I'm safe and warm
I'm led astray far too easily
It's always hard for me to say I'm wrong
Until I know I can't go on

Lord, You have searched me
And know when I sleep and when I rise
You're familiar with all my ways
Even the darkness will shine
Like the day
When you look into my heart

*muah*

BRIDGET JONES TOMORROW!!!

My mom gave me 3 lil words of advice on the topic of men yesterday.
“Don’t be picky.”

But that doesn’t mean I’m going to run off with the first guy who has a penis and opposable thumbs. If that were the case, I’d be off ice skating with any perverted creep.

I guess I’m just waiting for the right guy to come along… someone who can accept all my strange quirks and characteristics and say “How cute she is…. I wanna spend the rest of my life with her!” A guy who can get along with my family and friends and who won’t mind my gassy dog. Someone who’s just as sarcastic as I am, spontaneous, smart, funny, optimistic, romantic… has no horns or wandering eyes… can assemble IKEA furniture with ease… just someone who, the moment he walks into a room… life will just seem brighter. (ok.. I know you all wanna do it… so… “AWWWWWWW!)

Ok.. enough of this sap. =)

I’ve been working the window at work lately and I’m really getting the hang of it. =) My advisor is really cool and isn’t as formidable as she was during my first weeks. She’s really sweet and down to earth. The other girls I work with are super nice, but they mainly talk to each other about theater stuff… so I’m the quiet one. (Weird, I’m the “quiet one”… kinda like 8th grade all over again.) Overall, I’m enjoying it!

Yesterday, I went to my CKI meeting. This was my second meeting as a regular member and it feels weird not running it. I’ve been doing it for what… 2 years now?? So its like letting my baby go off into the world. =) So far Bryan, Lamar, Fat, and Stephanie are going a GREAT job and I’m really excited for this upcoming year. Joe, Salamanca-Salamanca, and Javier came to the meeting also, and afterwards we went over to Baja Fresh for lunch. Joe was sorely disappointed that his “Burrito Ultimo” wasn’t as ultimate as he thought, because when Mike came out with his “Dos Manos”, the “Ultimo” was put to shame. =) It was pretty hilarious. Also, Mike kept on asking how my “friend” was and I told him that my “friend” was fine. =P

They dropped my back at school where I finished my homework, and I went to class. I met up with my “friend” Carrie for dinner and boba where we chatted for a while because service was so bad and it just took a LOOONG time to actually get our check. But it was all good, she was telling be about her *ahem* Saturday night… sounded like fun Carrie! =)

My grateful list:
1) I’m grateful for the titan shuttle driver. Every morning, he’s the happiest guy and will actually STOP and WAIT for me as I flail my arms while running through the parking lot. =)
2) I’m grateful for Frankie and his homies for playing hip hop in the quad every Thursdays. I can hear the music when I have the window open at work, and if I squint, I can see folks dancing. It bring some sort of excitement in the oh so quiet box office.
3) I’m grateful for friends who believe in me.

Pet peeve of the day: Watching craft shows, and witnessing the folks in them make really UGLY things. It makes you think... "How the hell did this person get their own show!" Of course, Martha Stewart is allowed to have an ugly craft once and a while, but to have an entire show dedicated to the making of ugly crafts?? Come on now. Oooo.. and it really makes me cringe when I see them paint over perfectly fine walls or descrate them with horriffic wallpaper with FISHES or stencils on steroids!

Anyhoo... back to the happy. It was one of those BLAH days today. Went to work. Sold tickets and managed only mess up ONE account. (YAY!) Came home and went over to the ghetto walmart with my sister. Did you know that Secret has new scents for their deodorants called "OPTIMISM" and "AMBITION"?? Kinda weird, as if "POWDER SCENT" and "SHOWER FRESH" weren't good enough. OH WELL.... came back home and read. =) yay! Day complete.

Have I gushed lately on how much I love napster?? The song is "Fixing a Broken Heart" by Indecent Obsession (yeah... its an dorky name for a group.. oh well.) Theres also an newer version by Azn Dreamers (another dorky name... so they are guys, who have dreams, and can't spell Asain correctly. um.. yeah.) Just disregard the names and download the song... =) Its really REALLY pretty. I remember hearing this in high school on one of my friend's "slow jams" tape and its just awesome. =)

my GRATEFUL list. =) (as usual)
1) I'm grateful I found my cellie... I almost died today when I couldn't find it at school... but lo and behold, it was here at home in my coat pocket. =) WICKED!
2) I'm grateful for cheap slippers at Old Navy... and they're cute too! =)
3) I'm grateful its ALMOST SUMMER!! Hurry up!

Monday, April 09, 2001

ok.. I'm feeling really REALLY good... cause why you ask!?!! I'm going to be an AUNTIE!! =) YAY!!! My cousin Bombie and his wife Michelle are expecting... and its awesome cause he's always been like a big brother to me.. ( he taught me how to dance to THE JET'S CRUSH ON YOU) and I love them both so much. YAY!! CONGRATS GUYS!!

when you are in an elevator with another person whom you don't know.... should you say "bye" to them if you get off first?

p.s. I hate the mccarthy hall elevators... CREEPY!

*sigh* kinda in a weird funk today.... yesterday too. I dont know... just really tired and emotional for some reason. Yesterday, I found myself crying at the end of HOME ALONE. Decided to clean and do my laundry rather than go out shopping with my mom and sister.... I guess I just wanted some time out for myself. The weather isn't helping either.... ewww dark and gloomy outside.

I was walking out to my car today and found a snail in the middle of the sidewalk. I guess he was confused or something and came out when it was raining... and by the time it stopped raining he was 1/4 across and just kept on going. I kinda felt bad for it because pretty much now its a suicide mission since the kids next door would be coming home soon and would probably enjoy the crunching sensation of this lil snail's body underneath their shoe. So, I picked it up and placed him on the other side. YAY... consider that my good deed of the day. =D

Woah... just realized that more than month has gone by and I haven't given JR his usual shoutout. =) HIYA JR! (He's a bad ass... he's graduating this May and is going to join the REAL WORLD. Whooo.. when's the party!?!)

the list:
1) I'm grateful that I don't have board meetings at 12 anymore... SLEEP IN! =)
2) I'm happy for Carrie... =) yay!!
3) Bridget Jones this Friday!! Its been one of my favorite books for a while now... AND cutie Colin Firth is in it too! =)

OH! by the way... I have a joke!!
Where do kings put their armies??

In their sleevies!! =)

shut up... IT WAS FUNNY!

Sunday, April 08, 2001

hellllloooo all! =)

Yesterday was Carlene's PCN and she was TERRIFF!! =) YAY!! I was screaming at the top of my lungs for her... the whole production was really great. =) The show was like an 80's version of Grease with the addition of crazy dwendies with an obsession for A-Team and Small Wonder following the main character around. The whole thing was just a bit long.... starting around 6:30pm and we left Long Beach around 11:30... so um.. yeah. =) but YAY!! I'm so proud of my sister!!

Afterwards, Carrie and I took Beth to the Hat for her first time, ate and chit chatted over there for a while. Then we went back to my place for a mini girls night where I kinda conked out around 3 and woke up again at 6 to find Carrie and Beth still chatting away. *Gee.. I wonder what they were talking about? HmMmmmMmM* HAHAHAHAHA...

Woke up this morning, Carrie and Beth went to their service project and I went to work... sold some tickets.... didn't screw up any accounts.. (yay!) met up with Carrie, Beth, and the whole Pomona gang for some thai food, Salamanca kept on calling and hanging up on Beth's cellie. (oOooO.. what bad asses.. =P) and Carrie managed to fabricate a relationship for me. (oh yay... ) Afterwards, we went to the glass and bead shop so Beth could make her mom a teacher necklace and ended up making a bracelet there for myself. Came back home and waited for someone to pick up someone... *ahem* =) Joe calls and we go get some boba and watch SPY KIDS...(which is a cute movie... lots of really cool gadgets!)... come back home and blog. You read.

things..
1) I'm grateful for awesome friends with great sense of humors!! =)
2) I'm grateful for my super talented sister... =) *muah*
3) I'm grateful for alarm clocks.... need to be on time!

CARRIE CHEN IS A DORK.

Dammit.. I can't change the font size!! Well.. just imagine it with like a 70pt font. =P

Yesterday was the most interesting day. It kinda makes me fear for today.. but so far its pretty good.

SO, I got to school. (With me so far?) I parked in the boonies (as usual) and had to take the shuttle to get to the main part of campus (as usual). So, here I am... sitting happily in the shuttle. (la la la la la =D) I'm sitting in the back where next to me is a space for the handicapped ramp. The shuttle is full and everyone is happy. (la la la la la =D). The seats are made of this vinyl fabric and aren't usually slippery. (that was forshadowing.) Anyhoo... drive drive driving when suddenly the driver makes a fast sharp turn, and I slip off my seat onto the ground with a high pitched yelp.

Let us have a moment of silence for Nicole has a completely new embarassing moment.

BACK TO ME ON THE GROUND.... so theres this gasp in the shuttle... and I completely bust up giggling at the whole insanity of the situation. One really nice guy picks my bookbag off of me and helps me up to my seat as everyone else is looking at me like I'm a complete psychopath. Finally, my stop. (YAY) I get off the shuttle and the driver is very apologetic about his stunt. "Its alright," I reply, "stuff like this happens to me all the time."

Off to work, were right after settling in, the fire alarm goes off around the entire campus and everyone is being evacuated. There's thousands of people just wandering the campus and I'm next to the the theater kids who are lying on the ground pretending they are victims of natural disaster. I noticed this really cute guy who was around my vicinity, but he started laughing this most unattractive heckle that I had to get away.

It was a V. busy when I got back to work and stayed v. busy during my whole shift. My supervisor was very happy with me and felt sorry about the whole shuttle-faling-on-my-butt incident that she gave me a lolipop before I went home.

Anyhoo, studied at school for a bit and then went to target. I got home in time to watch the David Copperfield magic special where afterwards I told my mom that I was quitting school so that I can be a magician's assistant. She said cool... just as long as I'm able to zap her to Hawaii at a moment's notice. *Note to self: call David Copperfield and see if he has any openings for assistants.*

So, that was my interesting day yesterday. I got to school today and WALKED. =)

the usual.. MY GRATEFUL LIST!
1) I'm grateful for Bryan and his new board. =) They are going to do a KICK ASS job this year!
2) I'm grateful for AIM... its cheaper than using the telephone, you can talk to more than one person at a time, AND away messages! =D
3) I'm grateful that there was NO ONE on the shuttle that I knew. *whew!*

Back to school. Yay. (sarcasm at its finest)

Hmmm... so Nicole, what did you do on your spring break?

Wednesday, Tina and I took Keri to Ikea for her first time AND had her try
boba also. =) Ok,, so I don't think she enjoyed the boba much... but Ikea
was fun! =) Afterwards, we met up with Marissa and had a crafty night where
we got to play with paints, burn CD's., and watch Bring It On. =D

Thursday, work. It was another dead silent day... except for the fact that
my supervisor brought in her dog "Tuppence" to the office and this poor thing
was constantly attaking my computer because she thought her squeektoy was
trapped inside. So that kept things interesting for 2 out of the 5 hours.
After work, came home and cleaned out the fridge because my mom was giving it
away to one of her friends who was moving to vegas... and taking the old
fridge out of storage. BUT when the old fridge came, we realized that my dad
didn't defrost it or anything so the thing was GREEN!! (EWWWWWW!!) The inside
was just covered with mildew and mold... (UGH!) and when they were bringing
it inside, a whole bunch of lining fell to the floor... so I was sent out to
the GHETTO walmart to get a new vacuum bag OH as well as get some dinner and
buy my mom some meatballs from price club. So my frist trip was price
club.. where I was standing behind a gang of bulk shoppers who had EVERYTHING
and a bag of chips in their carts where I only had my bag of meatballs.
(Where's the 3 is a crowd line!!) An hour later, I was off to the walmart
where once again, one vacuum bag... vs. merchandise galore with no express
checkout. ACCCKK!! Anyhoo.. I survived but ended up at McDonalds for 30
mins in the DRIVE THRU because... I dunno. I still can't figure that one
out. Well back home, my mom is scouring this domain of creepy bacteria and
things are just INSANE. I realize that I got the WRONG vacuum bag!!!
CURSES!!!

Friday, after sleeping pretty late after the fridge ordeal, I woke up at the
break of dawn to take my mom to work because she was off to Vegas for the
weekend with her homies. Got home, took the car to get its oil changed. Off
to the airport to pick up Miss Carrie... went over to 3rd street.... and
finally Key Club Convention. This was my first Key Club Convention and WOW.
A lot of activity. It was pretty cool...we just sold different key club
merchandise (who needs key club air freshner?). Felt bad because I left Fred
here at home, so came home and attempted to clean the apartment.

On Saturday, brought Fred over to Carlene's so that she can babysit him and
returned to the convention for more supply sales. YAY. 5 hours later, we
were done with that and were planning dinner. The guys wanted to go to
HOOTERS and Carrie, Beth, and I really didn't want to go and feel inadequate
during our meal, so we decided to walk the pier and have dinner down there.
V. good idea. =) We went to TEQULIA JACKS which had some really good
mexican food. =) As well as a cute waitor who was a qualified "guacologist"
and speedy service. After dinner, we walked around and made fools of
ourselves at the hat shop, beth got fondled by some drunk dude who was going
to run off with my camera, and went crazy with the picture machines. Then we
returned to the convention center to SAA. blah blah blah.. (won't write about
it because frankly, it wasn't all that interesting.) and crashed over in
Carries room. Actually... NOT CRASH more like just talk in bed about... OH
BUT OF COURSE... GUYS. It was fun... =) yeah.

Today, woke up and went over to Carlene's to pick up Fred. Did some shopping
and we had lunch over at this really good whole in the wall taco place.
Rushed home, went to walmart to get the RIGHT vacuum bag, getting ready to
clean.. and YAY mom is home. =) Cleaned a bit, and then conked out. Woke up
to find that Mulder is alive but decomposing. YAY?

Ok.. this is a lot. So rather than my greatful things, I got a poem from
Chelle via email chain letter. its cute. =)
